Hey just asking cause I wanna try get better at the game how does one react to lights or Parry them cause I'm running into alot of light spamming raiders and orochi's

Parrying most lights is absolutely a trainable skill - even if you aren't a natural, it can be improved with practice, regardless of the setup, I'm proof that practice can help. Although you probably may still be limited by hardware and thus not be as consistent as the best PC players, fairly reasonable improvement can still be made. The advice above is good - I would also recommend: Go to training mode against the characters you have trouble with (like orochi) - set the enemy moveset to custom, then go in the movelist and choose these 4 to start with 1)light light heavy chain 2)the heavy light heavy chain 3)block then light attack 4)one of the dodge attacks or storm rush Set the bot to infinite stamina and always attacking, turn health off for you and bot and just sit there and practice! You don't have to choose all 4 options, of course. You can just select 'light attack' and start with that, or just the basic 'light light heavy'. You'll start to get a better feel for quickly switching guard and the timing of the parry, but it does take some time. Don't be discouraged if you get smacked a bunch during the first few sessions, I did too. You'll get hit way more than you'll parry at first, but you will improve if you really try. You will only be able to improve so much if you are stuck on old Gen console and a regular TV, but this practice will help you begin to improve, and you can start trying different heroes with different chains. Some of the timing windows can be faster than others, so make sure to practice against all the heroes. The last thing I've seen recommended (I can't personally recommend it because I haven't tried it regularly yet) is to go to the settings and turn the HUD off so there are no indicators. You have to parry based on the animation of the attack, which can help you differentiate between lights and heavies since animations are noticeably different. Also, your brain may be able to distinguish the direction of attack more easily because they are unique for each direction. Like I said, I haven't turned the indicators off for practice more than a few times so I can't say how effective it is, but better players than me use that method so its something you can try later on. @@ETskyrim What you can also try is: - go to practice mode - choose centurion as enemy - uncheck the option "delay between attacks" (or whatever it says, I forgot) so he keeps attacking as fast as he can - select his light, light, light - chain - set your own stamina to "exhausted" (so that the screen turns grey and your character breathes heavily) - that way his chain does not get interrupted when you block Do this for like 10 to 20 minutes a day. Your reaction time will improve quickly - don't listen to people who say you have to be born with good reaction time, that's absolute nonsense. You can train it just like a muscle.
