That last song, You never know sounds very personal. I think the lines "You never know unless you walk in my shoes" is a message towards the haters who has no clue the harsh times they went through and the lines "It's easier to judge me than to believe" I feel like this one was targeted at the kpop industry because of how judgy and toxic the industries are. They've pointed this out back in DDU-DU DDU-DU.

As a Blink from the Square days, when I first heard Love to Hate Me, it seemed like it has two different "entities" being addressed, namely 1)netizens and haters and 2) the love interest. "See me making waves and you don't like that" - I immediately thought netizens are being addressed. Because, in Korea, BlackPink gets a lot of hate for all sorts of things, and one of those is that they don't have as many comebacks as other groups. This isn't their fault. YGE chooses to space things out because they'd rather have a high percentage of BP's songs being hits. ( I could go on forever about why they do that and why it works). But anyway some netizens don't believe BP works as hard as other groups but they outsell them a lot. BP was announced for Coachella while they had 9 songs in their discography. SO that song for ME, stood out as "yeah I'm killing it and you mad. Stay mad, I don't need to care about your approval or lack of support because the fact that I'm killing it, means I have all the love I need" YNK was very obviously for the netizens and others that say BP are models not idols, that they don't deserve their fame, that they have no talent. Because those of us who really look into the KPOP industry know that you don't even debut if the company thinks you lack talent. anyway if you wanna know more about the industry just youtube search KPOP secrets. It's a dark life. But they make the most of it. sorry it got so long.
