Drue it is perfectly fine to be scared! I was scared every time I went to the doctor. I would cry before the appointment and after I would get the news and hear that everything was good. Gosh the way you are feeling about how much you want to protect your little love is sooo valid! I felt the same way when I was pregnant with our daughter! I remember driving to the hospital with my husband and crying while I was in labour just explaining that I wasn’t ready to share my physical heart with the world! I struggled with infertility for 8 years. I can relate to how you’re feeling. I too announced early because I waited so long for this. I prayed over my baby every single day “you shall live and not die and declare the works of the lord” I still do. I’m 17 weeks pregnant today. And I am still praising God. When someone says something negative remember we serve the way maker, and He started something in you that He will finish!

When you are a little further along 3D/4d ultrasounds are so much fun to do. You’ll be able to see so many of their features, watch them move inside, and it’s beautiful to compare to after you have baby. Most places offer a stuffy you can add baby’s heartbeat to as a keepsake as well. I had it done with my last baby and I treasure those pictures and his Dino I got so much ❤️

Girl I was crying right there with you…I remember that fear before my first ultrasound, and at least I know for me I was scared before every appointment…but that’s just the momma in us wanting our sweet babies to be healthy. I just had my first baby December 5th and let me tell you there is no other greater love. Just know that it’s ok to be scared of the unknown, pregnancy is such a beautiful thing but such a scary thing as well, and that’s ok. I pray that this pregnancy continues to be healthy and in 9 short months, (I say short because it goes by SO fast!) you get to meet your sweet baby. Enjoy every minute of it. I can’t wait to watch you and Gabe go through this journey, you two will make such amazing parents! 🥰

When I was pregnant with my daughter in 2022 I had to stop all social media because I was so much anxiety worrying about what could happen to my baby or what could be wrong with her after all that I would see on social media. I would literally lay in bed and cry. And this also continues after I had her, social media increased my PPD/PPA. I actually deactivated Facebook. Just remember mama you’ll alway do your best and that’s good enough. Everything will always be okay and always look to other mamas to lean on, like me. ❤ it’s all scary. Not matter what age. My baby girl is 14 months old now and I worry so much every single day. That’ll never change but just know being a worried parent means everything and means you care. Xoxo Drue!
