Ibanez peaked with the Roadstar and Musician basses, I have one of the originals in white with binding, it's far better than what is out today and still out performs a lot of basses, plus the body design is very comfy and still has a coolness factor

With regards the new EQ, surely you should be eq'ing by ear and not by set frequencies. boost the mids , then sweep to find the problem frequency. and then cut it.

I wish they come up with a 35 inch scale EHB, but with straight frets. Cool inlays on the blue one. I love the BTB's but they're just too big and heavy for my old bones.

Not many 4 strings outside the Soundgear line. I would love a 37 inch scale 4 string multiscale myself. Tune it low to high ADGC.

@ Same here, I like a 38mm nut width and just play for the fun of it. I have been told I have the most aggressive attack some have ever seen. I have been asked "why do you hit the strings so hard?" The problem I face is when playing finger style I often hit the pickup with the string.

Just what the world needs more basses, I find there’s a lack of choice in the marketplace at the moment. Hopefully someone at NAMM is also looking at releasing new pedals, particularly overdrive, the world needs more of those as well.

I agree, Ibanez seems to be one of the few guitar companies that keep bassists in mind. The only company that gives them a run for their money is Fender. Ibanez still has more unique models though.

Looking at the selection of these basses I don't think I will be buying any of them anytime soon. Bringing back a new line of the ATK would be cool though. I am Lakland bass fan now. 😁

Maybe with the trend of 6 string bartione guitars that's been going on, they might start making 4 string "baritone" basses (35, 36 or even 37 inch scale). But I guess the majority of bass players that like to tune low are ok with using 5 strings anyway.

SR -> 34 to 35.5 EHB -> 33 to 35 BTB -> 35 to 37. But some new models have 34 to 35 which I kinda feel a bit useless

​@@loraaroafter having a 34 to 37.5 inches and playing on BEADG I can definitely feel a stretch and my arm gets a little tired, I'd have the 34 to 35 without a problem. I think the 37 really helps those who tune very low but for B EADG the 35 scale is perfect.

There was little to no market for those instruments. Ibanez makes Soundgears, BTBs and EHBs because those are the only models that make enough money worth producing

@@ryangoodrow8829 sure...thats why they sold out 3 years in a row. The AFR's were designed by Rolf Spuler and Ibanez had a contract with his family on the reissue. Lastly, the destroyer bass has sold out EVERY single time it has been brought out. Sweetwater did a run of black with cream pick ups that lasted hours on their website..
