Hey Craig, this is great for the V-6, not the turbo 4 that is under the hood.

My 2018 Buick Regal GS ( actually an Opel Insignia made in Russelsheim, Germany ) has TWO batteries. One in the trunk and one in the engine compartment. Even the GM dealer that did a battery warranty replacement neglected to replace BOTH batteries.

Thanks for watching. It is possible both batteries do not need to be replaced. The best way is to have a mechanic test both batteries.

There appears to be some sort of trick to getting the plastic battery cover to unsnap. Too bad they didn't explain what it was. It's the only reason I watched the video. Perhaps another video will be more helpful.

Figured it out. There's an additional tab on the other end of the cover that needs to be pried. Diagram only shows one.

This is car I bought 2 years ago. If I knew this I wouldn't have got this vehicle. This is too much of a hassle. I won't get this vehicle again or any with this type of battery placement. I'm a single woman with health issues and strength issues. This would be too hard for me to do. Plus anyone else would charge to remove and replace it I can do the battery in the front hood area. Just another issue with this vehicle. I used to like Buick's.

Thank you for watching and hopefully it will be useful when the time comes for battery replacement.
