This game is a hidden gem. I loved it as a kid, it brings chills to me thinking about it to this day. Tears to my eyes how it brought our family together each playing certain parts. Battle of Olympus, Adventure of Link, and Simon's Quest were the three that really got me into gaming. I've always remembered Zelda and Castlevania and, a decade later, I bought an NES from Funco Land hoping to play BoO again. Except I had forgotten what it was called. I bought Rygar the same day and was convinced for about 5 minutes that it was the right game, but I came to my senses. Too much red and orange in Argool. I bought Blaster Master, figuring that my memories were maybe just warped from playing that. Of course not. It took probably about a year before I figured out the Battle of Olympus title. I got a cart and it all came rushing back: The music in the starting forest area, farming snake skins, riding the dolphin across the sea, finding the hidden doors. I got pretty far, but never did finish it. This is going to be a great watch. Thank you!

Fun fact on Phyrigia; Phyrigian scale is one of the Greek modes in music, and is the scale you'd naturally play if you played the white keys on a piano from E up to the next E. The musician on this game was clearly a music dork like me, because the music that plays in this region uses Phyrigian scale, which is rarely used on its own.

It also goes to show how rudimentary games can be pulled together with very small teams. I know a lot of guys who are slaving away making games in their spare time that they've been working on for years. If a handful of them got together and promised to work on all of their games until they were complete, they'd probably be able to complete them. At all let alone faster, and they'd probably be better too since it would be more than just one guy working at it and overlooking problems other people would notice.

I'm really glad to see this amazing game covered here; you make awesome content! Also nice casual flex with that low-geared minotaur kill while showing the skip 😄 Something I think could be mentioned to help newer players to the game: if you're having trouble with a respawning enemy, such as the infamous birbs or salamanders, kill it til it drops something, then don't pick up the drop. Enemies can only respawn if you pick up their drop; use this to your advantage! Also, you don't have to jump exactly on the dolphin to not die, you can safely jump over it 😀 Love the content much ❤❤❤! Great to see so many games I grew up with covered so in-depth!

This was a game that took me several weeks to beat, as I learned the layout of the pathways. You just made it look so easy. Well played and thanks for giving me back a bit of memories!

Nice playthrough & commentary. Absolute classic....this game brings back old memories. One of my favorite games to play in my childhood.

The extra information you provide in all your videos is what makes them worth watching. Just doing a play along is boring, the info is top notch!

I actually really love Zelda II and think it's underrated, but I'd never heard of this game. Was really cool seeing it, thanks for the premium choice and video.

My dude, I was bracing myself for you to say, "sadly, Infinity closed their doors in [year x]" I love hearing that a small studio not only survived for the long haul, but is actually thriving.

I beat this game on my own as a teen when it originally came out, and watching through this video now, I have absolutely no idea how that was possible.

It was one of those games my cousins owned, so I never got a chance to really play it for very long or get very far. But what if I told you I'm ready to take on the challenge now?! Haha, thanks again, your vids are THE BEST!!!

I hope you never change this. Don’t change the style, the microphone, anything. People usually get popular and then they start getting more and more flashy and it ruins what people fell in love with to begin with. Just be you and just keep everything the way it is

There was something special about this game. I'm a huge fan of Greek mythology so maybe that was it. Never beat it of course but spent alot of time trying. Excellent game

Just want to say I LOVE your videos. It takes me back to my youth, when I struggled, and conquered many of these games. I loved watching Goonies 2, because I had that, and played it a ton, but never completed it because I just kept getting lost and going around in circles. Sure you have an extensive list of games in your queue...but if you ever get around to doing Milon's Secret Castle, Super Pitfall or Golgo 13, I'll be a happy man, because those games flustered me back in the day. Keep up the good work...looking forward to which game shows up next.

It's great watching your videos, showing me all of my childhood games and how to 100% them, showing all the things I missed. I did have Battle of Olympus on the NES (I'm from the UK but don't know how popular it was), and I remember enjoying it but don't think I ever completed it. Also your dog deserves some treats.

Wonderful how you explain the walkthtrough and the history. But this game seems way more cryptic than Zelda or Castlevania
