His goal is to burn his laners tp pre 5 min, so that when he inevitably kills them later in the laning phase they don't have tp so you get plates and deny them more, where as pre 5 min they don't have time to shove since you respawn instantly so you barely miss any minions, and since it's pre 5 min they can't get plates, where as when you kill them post 5 min they lose plates and waves due to their respawn timer being higher and the fact that they don't have tp, so even if they trade 1 for 1 sion just tps back and gets plating and forces Gwen to lose waves.

His objective was not the wave. He wanted to die, and just before he die, use his E to slow gwen down. After that it would have been an easy kill with the passive denying a whole wave to Gwen. Although misstimed, it is very consistent and he applies it often.

Gwen will never die here, he is grasp also. He died so that when he finishes the wave in his passive he respawns as he is low level meaning he can save tp then forcing Gwen too use tp it is a tempo play
