My beard has been improving since using your beard oil and stache wax. It's making it so soft and shiny. I have shades of red, brown, blonde, and even some grey hairs in my beard. Your oil accentuates the colors and I'm very satisfied. I'll be trimming very lightly soon. Thanks for all the tips and products.

Great video. I am very close to a yeard, a couple of weeks out. I haven't trimmed by beard any. My beard hairs measure around 7 inches long but hangs around 5 inches from the chin due to the curls in the hairs.I recently had to trim my stache because it was out of control but I still left it long. So far, I haven't had any split ends. I look often but haven't seen any. I keep my beard well conditioned with beard balm and use a pine tar soap. I stay away from blow dryers which are the number one cause of split ends. Blow dryers can reach 400 degrees and the rapid heating of the water can cause the hair to swell and split. If you use a blow dryer, use low heat and don't over use it. Soon I will be ordering your new shampoo and give it a try. I am using up my soap stash and getting low. Good soap/shampoo, good oil/balm, good comb/brush will make all the difference and try to stay away from blow dryers.

I would emphasize that while trimming is important, you also definitely shouldn't trim too often or you will never see any beard growth. If you really want to grow your beard, it's best to only trim once every 30-90 days.

Hi Baron I'm loving the channel! I'm just wondering if you can give me a little advise. I've had a beard for years now but have recently started to actually try and look after it. It's about 2/3 the length of yours with a similar moustache. My problem is that I play hockey and recently I've been playing a good 3-4 times a week and as a goalie obviously I have to wear a mask. Obviously squashing my beard into a chin cup constantly is starting to shred my beard and although I know this is never going to be ideal, I was wondering if you could recommend some way of either reducing the impact on my beard or maybe some sort of post hockey routine to help the situation? Thanks in advance and keep up the good work.
@thebeardbaron10 жыл бұрын
piggymito If you could put something in between your beard and chin cup that would be ideal. It'd have to be tight so there wouldn't be any rubbing. Possibly a bandanna of sorts?

Great videos baron! One question, I have a goatee and shave either side daily. What's the best way to go about this whilst still keeping my beard in the best condition? I often find I'll end up with shorter hairs around the edges from constantly catching them in the razor and can't seem to avoid it. I have an electric shaver that fixes the problem but it kills my skin if I use it every day so I always go back to a regular razor. Thanks!
@thebeardbaron10 жыл бұрын

@thebeardbaron10 жыл бұрын
Gnargusto I've used that technique before and you just have to be super careful if your beard is long. If you have a short beard and regularly use a buzzer that's fine. The longer your beard is the tricky it can be and the mistakes can be major. Just be careful!

Hey John, I have something I'd love to ask you. The first couple times I shaved, I tended to shave downwards on my left cheek, sideways around my chin and up my right cheek. I stopped shaving like this after 2-3 shaves but to this day, my beard doesn't grow downward, it grows around my face the same way I originally shaved it, so about 1/3 of my beard looks normal. It's not really a problem when the hair is short but it's terrible when I try to grow it out. Any insight on this and how to change it?
@thebeardbaron10 жыл бұрын
Leonar12345 It has to get to a pretty long length in order to get it to do what you want it to do. Anything shorter and it will hug the face and follow the grain. You just need to get to the magical length.
@thesocialexperiment12688 жыл бұрын
The absolute biggest thing that helped me was beard oil. When I shampoo, I use all natural shampoos and even then, it's may be a couple times a week. But, beard oil really made a huge difference in how full my beard looks and how soft it feels. I've had no real issues with split ends (6 months of growth) yet, but the main key is keeping that hair moisturized. Also, it's been really helpful for me to get a boars hair brush. Gotta get my beard full and manly by my wedding, next April.

The Beard Baron Thank you. I live in California and here in California unlike East Coast or Europe, where I am originally from water has a completely different effect on my hair. I have some grey hair now and most of my grey hair is sticking out almost as if it was made of plastic, I mean really really terrible comparring to the darker hair, which also feel like plastic, not like real hair. This only happens here in California, where I live, however my hair or beard rather feels completely different in places like East Coast or Europe. After only one single wash it feels super super super soft in Europe and East Coast. No sticking hairs and it lays flat and after few washes I actually have to think about how to make the volume of my beard bigger. I don't have this problem here in California. After each wash my hair turns into some crazy afro style hair I absolutely hate it and even after I started using beard oil it is not that much better, maybe tighny bit but not by a lot. What can I do to make my hair feel soft and streight, just like I know it can in Europe or East coast? If I didn't know that my hair can actually be soft I wouldnt bother but I know it can yet I havn't been able to achieve that here in California this freakin desert. Thank you for your help! By the way I use AVEDA shampoo and conditioner on both my beard and my head. It is the best natural shampoo for my head hair because it makes it soft and shiney but the beard still plastic afro...
