Gorgeous, breathtaking, and deeply sad. Unfortunately I don’t think this is a place I’ll see in person in my lifetime but let’s hope it’s not completely destroyed/torn down to slap down some houses or a shopping centre. Also on a side note as someone who loves graff most of the time, seeing those trash tags on such a beautiful historical site made me so angry ugh

Oh my god! What an incredible building! Such a beauty! What a shame there is so little of it left, and when the developers start work, I imagine the whole place will be pulled down. They don’t build things like this anymore, and soon there won’t be any buildings like this left in the UK. Thanks for taking is on a tour, I can only imagine what it would have been like 30/40 years ago. Thanks Colin. ❤

Always a great intro shows beauty with sadness my heart was in my mouth for you a very dangerous place to walk about on your own too . The front of the building was fantastic it just shows how beautiful it was. But inside just left to rot if the owners had sense they could have made it into flats and kepted the heritage of it thanks for sharing xx

I didn't see anyone walking behind you but wouldn't be surprised. This sort of place there might be quite a lot of confused spirits hanging around. When I moved into my current home I found it already occupied by one of the former tenants, who must have been there quite a while. It wasn't in the slightest bit creepy because he was the most jovial fellow. Thought it was hilarious that there was a strange woman in what he still regarded as his room. I had to explain to him he had in fact passed on & that this is my home now. However he cheered up a bit when I explained that meant he didn't have to stay here any more & he was free to move on to where ever he needed to be next. I said I understood about it having been his home & that he was welcome to visit if he wanted & to just go towards the light. The chap hasn't been back so I presume he found where he needed to be. If you can feel people around in a place like that, you would be doing them a favour if you just let them know that they have passed on, that they are free to move on to where they need to be next & to go towards the light. If you get the feeling that anyone might be afraid you can ask for spirit guides or holy angels to walk with them. If theres any feeling of hostility I wouldn't attempt any communication till you are by the exit just in case it should provoke an angry reaction. If a place feels really angrily hostile I shouldn't stay long anyway. Thankyou for sharing your explore. They must have built those walls strong or they wouldn't be standing at all. If you are ever exploring in South Devon & need someone to go with, I might be around.

I always wonder how these places get into such bad shape. Why don't they get sold by the original owners, repurposed or get sold for back property taxes? Makes me sad to see this.
@mikebatty96325 жыл бұрын
I so agree. Maybe there is so much structural damage that the cost to fix is more than its worth. And/or, when it was first abandoned, there was no need for such a structure? IDK, but it is ashame. What a waste.

Wasn't left to runes Use to work there late 90s after closed they had 24hr security and i work as the grounds contractor. But they dropped it all think they sold it. And guess new onwer had other plan and no permission. As no security got robbed ( copper and lead) and vandalised so much causing leaking roof holes in floors walls then arson. Then left to rot

It may have been a case of wilful neglect; letting it deteriorate so much that they could demolish a listed building which otherwise would not be allowed. The wikipedia article suggests there has been all sorts of shenanigans on the part of the various owners. Its deteriorated more than it should have in less than 20 years.

What an incredible place, but extremely dangerous too. Obviously a place that carries many sad stories and despair. I did pick up on a little girl that was following you around, i would say she was between 10 and 12 years old with dark brown hair, her clothing was incredibly beat and tidy....... this makes no sense to me, for the simple reason that asylums were prominently mid teen to old age, and the fact the little girl was so beautifully turned out from top to toe doesn't paint a obvious picture that she was a resident there. She kept about a meter behind you as you walked along, although she was following you she didn't want you to notice her........ at least that was the impression i got. Thank you once again for sharing your adventures with us.

The power you're operating is a lie and has a history that's really dark. Don't call out to a mentor, pastor, traditional religion, philosophy but call out to God/Yeshua for REAL power. Challenge Him to show Himself and He WILL show you His love causes He cares deeply for you - ex New ager

@@kguymyguyfrydie9710 I'm glad your faith is strong and i respect your beliefs, i wouldn't ever dream of questioning them. I would apply the same ethic to all religious communities............... unfortunately the same isn't afforded to me by the religious communities, they either want to " burn the Witch " or "save my soul " when in reality I'm a gentle soul completely in balance with myself, my church is simply the countryside, woodland, forests, mountains, nature......... there's no church as beautiful as that.
