That is some salvage yard......’a blast from the past’! Those 80’s VW’s and Peugeot GTI’s are worthy collectible classics, so are the Range Rovers and Defenders! I cannot wait for the follow up video.

As far as I know, anyone who wants one needs to establish the VIN. From there get the number plate (if missing) from online sources. Then check whether the car has been registered as scrapped or written off. Then apply for a V5. The DVLA will issue one (after writing to the last registered keeper after a few weeks if they get no response). Finally come with the recovery truck. May need permission to access land. Only a few of these would likely have any potential though and a few for parts only.

Very surprised the 205GTi alloys were still there and what I think was an original Ford stereo in the Sierra Estate, not to mention the seats.

Great video. The sad reality is that these cars will probably never be saved however there is still a pleasure seeing them still in some kind of existence because they are no longer seen in our roads. We can only imagine who drove them, where they travelled during their life and how their owners are more than likely no longer with us and children they transported now have families of their own. I'd say that scattered throughout the UK there are nearly as many vehicles off the road as on the road. Keep the videos coming buddy.

The Astra G SRi at 8:03 has only been there five years. The Blazer at 10:40 was the first RHD Chevrolet sold in the UK, the Clio at 11:17 has been there for seven years, the mk3 Golf GTI at 12:03 has been there for eleven years. That one's a very late model. The mk4 came in the same time R plates were being produced. The Vectra B V6 at14:38 has been there at least 18 years - believe me, I'd love that car. I think the LDV Convoy at 16:56 is an ex Royal Mail post bus (they don't run them any more). The mk1 Fiesta at 23:21 is a very late edition. They went to mk2 that year. It looks like it may be a Ghia.

That Mini Moke is infact a Scamp kit car, they used to advertise them in Exchange and Mart in the mid-seventies. Amazing looking thing. Love the Jensen, awesome car to drive. Remember seeing a very rusty one on someone's drive in Church Street, Edmonton in the '70's. Wonderful selection of rust.

Very very good film as a classic commercial vehicle and car guy myself I really enjoyed seeing this. I noticed all sorts of other vehicles in the back ground Ford D series Bedford tk and what I think was a Commer TS 3 and maybe Bedford O or S type (all lorries), Leyland Sherpa`s Bedford CF2 vans. There was even an Austin Maestro car in there that was in one piece not in a pile of rust on the ground

Good Morning Bearded Explorer, hope your well. I remember a lot of these old cars from the 70's, like the old Mini's & morris 1100 etc, and think they are really beautiful classic cars, I love the old Heralds to that were in the yard. If some of these old classic cars were done up they would be worth more than a new car today! It's a shame they've been left there to rot away, when they should be going to classic car fairs & rally's. Stay safe. Andy. 👍

That green Vectra V6 SRI hasnt been taxed since 2000 and was only a 97 plate indicating that it would have only been on the road for 3 years, probably has less 20K on the clock at most. Was most probably stolen I would say
@craigdouglas9838
@craigdouglas9838 4 жыл бұрын
If it was stolen Why Are the keys in the ignition :? and there's no wires hanging out of the fuse box were it's been hot wired, unless somebody broke into a house to steal the keys and use it as a getaway vehicle.

@@craigdouglas9838 I'm not sure if it would have been stolen 100% but it just seems a bit suspicious that it was only reported to be on the road for 3 years considering that it was quite a high end SRi model
