• The ONE Thing Every Ch... -~-
Is once saved always saved biblical? Can a Christian lose their salvation? Can a genuine Christian decide to deny their own faith and walk away from God? Is there a sin you could commit that God wouldn't forgive? If you lose your salvation can you regain it? There are lots of questions surrounding this topic of eternal security. In this video I present 7 reasons why I believe a Christian cannot lose their salvation.

What is you struggle for years then let your guard down on a random tues and get hit by a bus. Oops I know I let my son literally die for you but yeah you unfortunately died while having an impure thought... This What your describing is ANOTHER GOSPEL. The real Godpel is Jesus + nothing ( not how sorry or conscious your are). @@j-life8502 You are approaching this with the mindset of a Pharisee or some other kind of legalistic perfectionist who believes they must work it all out on their own maintaining constant awareness about whether they were re "conscious" enough or "sorry enough" to keep walking with God. If we do not a random collision with a Mack truck may well send us to hell. This is not what traditional believers in free will think. It is just a straw man constructed by believers in antinomianism. When you make a straw man argument, you’re essentially arguing against an IMAGINARY scarecrow. It’s an easy way to make your argument sound infallible-and that’s what makes it a LOGICAL FALLACY. Regarding Matthew 11:28: Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Did Christ say look at my yoke, study and admire it in the abstract? No, He said Take my YOKE UPON you. An ox does not wear a yoke as a decoration. The yoke UNITES Master and Animal together in the common purpose of doing the master's WILL. It is WORK but since the Holy Spirit helps us do it the work is not laborious but LIGHT and brings rest not like the yoke of the Law which Peter said neither he nor his fathers could bear.

But being saved from our former sins isn’t the same thing as receiving eternal life in heaven. That comes thru obedience AFTER that debt is paid. Having died more than once and speaking much first hand experience to how Heaven, the Earth, and other realms are setup, I can tell you suicide is no escape from anything and actually makes it far worse on you! Something to never forget. If you die on Earth most ways you usually end up places other than the Earth but in the case of suicide, you end up perfectly alive on Earth like nothing happened other than perhaps notice some small changes to what you know as Earth may be slightly different. You end up on a parallel Earth which is usually nearly identical with the same or n perhaps even worse troubles for you and though you wer successful killing yourself where you were originally, you begin to doubt that because all indications in the alternate Earth is a different course of events where that was not the case at all and in this loop you forever stay alive seemingly stuck on Earth. A situation actually worse than concepts of hell for most people.

Such an important topic, thank you brother Parr. I gave my life to the Lord at age 15 at a David Wilkerson crusade back in 1971. Since then, I have had times when I allowed myself to be distracted by the things of the world, gone away from the truths of the Word. Behaved in ways I am truly ashamed of. But He has never taken His hand off me, and His grace has allowed me to eventually see that I am His and want nothing more than Him in my life. I am 67 now, and am so thankful He has never stopped loving me. I am His and He is mine. Forever. 🙏

Bro David Wilkerson was against once saved always saved. Jesus bluntly said he'll remove anyone's name from the book of life in Revelation 22:18-19 and we know from the Daniel 12:1, Philippians 4:3 that only people with salvation names are found in the book of life so if they were removed from it that means we can indefinitely lose our salvation. Not to mention verses like in the end times they'll DEPART from the faith which you can only depart if you were once walking in true faith. As well as go about your salvation with fear and trembling why would Jesus say that if it was impossible to lose. Anyways Jesus bluntly saying he'll removed a saved person name from the book of life is the end all of this topic.

@@jeffouellette9946 I’d be careful calling it doctrine of demons and assuming OSAS just makes people feel like they’re ok to compromise in sin, the Holy Spirit will let you know and convict you. I am genuinely curious though if you can lose salvation what is the line you can’t cross? The parable of the prodigal son is a great parable that shows that even if we turn away for a time he is always there to welcome us back into fellowship with him with open arms. It’s not like if you start falling back into your old sinful habits and attitudes for a time, that Gods grace and mercy doesn’t still cover you. He will chastise and discipline his children when they’re in disobedience but that’s evidence that we are truly his children, I think that’s what happens when “a dog goes back to its vomit” you get chastised but you don’t lose salvation if you genuinely have saving faith in Jesus Christ. His blood paid for past present and future sins in the eternal sense but he does not excuse us from the consequence of sin in this life when we slip up (which we will). I just don’t think it lines up with scripture that you can lose salvation even with the common anti OSAS verses people try to use like Hebrews 6:6. We need to rightly divide the word of truth and interpret the more difficult passages in context carefully and in light of the other plain truths about salvation that are in the Bible, after all the Bible has no contradictions but with the common interpretation of Hebrews 6:6 it would appear to contradict the prodigal son parable. I’m open to admitting if I am wrong and want to seek the genuine truth of God but I do truly believe OSAS after praying for the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth on this contentious topic and I feel like he has led me towards OSAS every time I go to prayer about it. God bless my brother in Christ I know this was an old comment but I’d love to see your response if you do see this! 🙏

I once used to believe in "Eternal security" or the "once saved always saved" doctrine, but the more I studied the scriptures the more i realised this wasn't the case, I realised how difficult it was to continue holding on to that doctrine, I do believe that a Christian can lose his/her salvation through apostasy and I think that worldliness and continual sin can eventually cause a Christian to turn their back on God and that's what I believe Paul refers to when talking about the "falling away" in Hebrews 6:6 and what Peter talks about in 2 Peter 2:20-22, we have been clearly warned in scriptures about this matter.

Yes, I agree. You have the correct understanding. Salvation is something we must strive to hold on to daily by freewill cooperation with the grace of God won for us by the finished work of Jesus. Jesus' passion does not remove our freewill after we come to know Him like some teach. That's why Paul states 'work out your salvation in fear and trembling'. OSAS is a dangerous theology and lulls many into thinking the blood of Jesus will simply cover their sins. Some simply are taught to ignore the warning verses or to attribute them to others but not to themselves.

A good way to think about this is that when we are unsaved we are bobbing up and down, treading water in a big ocean. Jesus rescues us and takes us out of the ocean and puts us on a boat. Jon Singleton I have followed much of your thread and it appears that you are striving hard to debate with others to prove them wrong because you believe you have it all down, drawn out and put together. Brother, if you want to talk about something Biblical your talking it, it’s that biblical term Pride. To assume your position is dangerous and you should confess this area of your life to Jesus Christ and allow Him to rid you from this. Even this young woman who gave a testimony of how she walked away from God and was like the prodigal daughter and God pursued her in her backslidden state is the Agape love of God Almighty. I to walked away for sometime, but God never gave up on me. I came back praise God, because He didn’t want me to stay in that backslidden state. God is merciful to us all, and none of us are even worthy enough to deserve this gift of salvation that he offers freely to us. Some of the greatest apostasy that’s running rampant in the church today are self righteous people preaching a message that they themselves aren’t even able to live or abide by. They walk in arrogance and great pride like they have arrived. The fact is, none of us have truly arrived. We are always being changed and transformed to be more like Him. We must be teachable because the moment we stop, Pride takes the lead.

I got saved when I was 11. To avoid writing out my whole testimony, I will simply say that I stayed from God in my early 20s, and for all intents and purposes, lost my faith. It was to the point where I was angry with God, and tried MULTIPLE times to complete leave the faith. But GOD, through what I can only believe is the power of the Holy Spirit kept bringing me back. Kept pricking my heart and wouldn't let me go ”I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.“ ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭CSB‬‬ To God be the glory!

Yes, that is true, and don't let anyone deceive you otherwise. There are many scriptures that show God's power in saving and "keeping" those whom He saves. Psalm 37:28, "For the Lord loves judgment, and forsakes not His saints; they are preserved forever..." He Himself "preserves" them. Psalm 65:4, "Blessed is the individual whom YOU CHOOSE, and CAUSE TO APPROACH YOU, that he may dwell in Your courts (implying forever)..." If it was all up to us to keep our salvation, then we would be our own saviors, and would have no need of the Holy Spirit. He "seals" us by His Spirit "UNTO the day of salvation," not until we decide to walk away. How could He call any of us His "elect" if we "could" forsake Him? Notice what Jesus said about His elect in Matt. 24:24, "For there shall arise false Christs (false anointed ones -- the charlatans always claim to operate in the "anointing"), and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders (slaying in the spirit? laughing uncontrollably? false gifts of the Spirit? fake casting out demons? etc.); insomuch that, IF IT WERE POSSIBLE, they shall deceive the VERY ELECT." This is a good example that Jesus will keep His elect from being deceived to the point of apostasy. Is it merely "our" will involved? John Baptist was filled with the Spirit while a fetus in his mother's womb. He didn't ask God first, nor did God ask him. His mission to pave the way for YHWH Messiah was prophesied by Isaiah about 700 years before his birth. John could no more apostatize from God and not complete his mission than the moon could decide to leave its orbit around the earth. Again, Isaiah prophesied of a coming king of the Medo-Persians named Cyrus, who he said would issue the decree to rebuild Jerusalem and the Temple, whom God called His "son" (He wasn't the Son of God, of course, but obedient to Him as a son in what God had raised him up to do for Him). But he wrote this prophecy over 200 years before his birth. Cyrus was made by God for this purpose, just like He raised up the evil Pharaoh to show His wonders in Egypt. But does God's will for us mean that we have no choice? Nope. Both wills are involved, which is a conundrum that no man can fully parse. All the warnings of scripture against sin, lethargy, apostasy, etc., only hit bone with God's elect. Those whom Jesus described as seed sown by the wayside, or on rocky ground, or among thorns, or tares, will not fully heed the warnings and repent. Lastly, as you read Jesus' final prayer for His 11 apostles in John 17, you will find that He said that He "kept" them. Compare those verses with John 6:39, the wording is identical. He "keeps" ALL that the Father has given Him, and will lose "NONE" (KJV says "nothing", but the Greek word is "me" [pronounced "may"], which means that all implications are ruled out, in other words, it is "impossible" for Jesus to lose even one of those the Father had already given Him before the foundation of the world, just as it was impossible for Him to have lost the 11 apostles, or Paul, or John Baptist, or Moses, or Elijah, or David. The only reason He lost Judas, whom He described early on as a "devil", was because his betrayal was prophesied in the scriptures hundreds of years before he was born. Jesus said of his betrayal, "that the scripture might be fulfilled." Well, John 6:39 is also a scripture that must be fulfilled -- He will lose NONE. Rejoice in His salvation!

I agree. We are not secured until the very end. There's nothing like "I have a ticket to heaven, no matter what". It is rather shocking how popular this "ticket to heaven" idea has become- so many do have itching ears, so many want to keep living in a sin. Only those who love the Lord and diligently do His will, will be saved. The Lord is Holy. So Holy that He cannot be around any wilful, unrepentant sinners. Therefore, those He judges to be acceptable to abide with Him in heaven for an eternity must try their utmost to be Christ-like in this life. Also, if every born-again was saved, then there would be no need for a warning against backsliding and falling away: "Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame." Hebrews 6:1-6 "For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire." 2 Peter 2: 20-22

@@jvnd2785 Those who are unrepentant are not born again believers. Born again believers will not go unrepentant. IF you're truly born again, it will be marked by a life of repentance and a life of work produced by faith alone. To believe that you're truly born again but not have assurance of salvation is a scary thing, because if we could lose our salvation we would. Paul says in Romans 7: 16-17 that he continues to do what he hates and do what he doesn't want to do and says that it is sin living in him. The Christian life is not about running through the flower fields ( I wish it would), but the reality is there are ups and downs in our lives. There may be times when we are doing well in our faith but there could be times when our faith is tested because of trials and hardships we face, but the important thing is whether we look to the cross or not. When we truly are born again, God gives us faith to overcome. It is impossible to be born again and live in the life of sin, if that is so, you have deceived yourself thinking you're born again.

When the bible says the "fear" of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom it is referring to reverence of the Lord, and when you meditate on that concept it makes more sense, as we are in awe of His creation and His ways, and that kind of fear (reverence) actually brings us closer to God and gaining understanding, where as scared fear is more of a forced obedience, in which God doesn't want; He wants us to want to obey, and to walk in faith. Is it a once and for all declaration, or a race to be run with all of our heart, soul and strength? The false gospel being preached today is rooted in three fundamental errors: 1) Justification is a one time irrevocable declaration, guaranteeing salvation; 2) Grace is the free gift of salvation where there can be no expectations attached. 3) And salvation is apart from any and all works. These are the errors of Martin Luther which have been adopted by virtually every evangelical church today. This series explains the theological roots of this error and presents the Biblical gospel. ■ "If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:" (2 Timothy 2:12) Note the "IFs" regarding the holy spirit: ■ "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." (Hebrews 10:26,27) Note the if - the consequence - of not remaining "in His goodness" or grace: ■ "For if God spared not the natural branches [the Israelites], take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off." (Romans 11:21,22) Note the warning: ■ "Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it." (Hebrews 4:1)

Good brother, "Phillip." Living a "back-slidden" life is very dangerous, you give "demons" open access into every area of your life. Why, if one cannot "fall-away" do we see those words in scripture? My friend, read CLOSELY the following verses, and then--ask the LORD for understanding--not MINE--but HIS. Gal.3:1-5; Gal.5:7; Gal.4:8,9; Luke 8:13b; Matt.26:31b; Mark 4:15; Luke 14:34; 2 Thess.3:6-15; 1Tim.1: 3-11; 1Tim.4:1; 1Tim.5:15; Also, chapter 6:10b. Check out Luke 9:62. "Putting your HAND to the plow refers to the "WORK" we do as believers! 2 Pet.2"20-22 is extremely clear in context. Also, 2 Pet.2:15. The following is a clear-cut, sober warning: Heb.2:1-3. And of course, Heb.6: 4-6, which is taken OUT if its obvious context by some Christians. And YES--Heb.7:27 says that "Christ died ONCE for ALL..." But that is NOT implying one cannot "fall." There are quite a few MORE, good brother, but tell me, why is there actually more WARNINGS in scripture than "pats on the back?" God TELLS us, "Be SOBER-MINED and...WATCH." Watch WHAT? It's the same thing as "take heed...stand...lest you FALL." Some would say it makes it sound as if God is impersonal--I beg to differ! He LOVES us enough to WARN us what can happen if we allow "laodicia" to get the better--or should I say--WORST of us. Pray for wisdom, my friend, for she is greater than "fine jewels." God bless you.

To all the people who want an in-depth study/understanding of salvation: I believe this topic in the Bible is a salvation issue, getting it wrong or right... Those who teach it wrong could be held accountable for it and those who live by it believing they can not forfeit their inheritance with their " Free Will " will pay an eternal price for it. Remember: after every verse you will use to " prove " that you cannot lose your salvation, (can't lose what you don't have, yet) just say this: JOHN 15:4 - Remain in me and I will remain in you. You can't produce good fruit by yourself, you HAVE TO REMAIN IN CHRIST. Example: John 10:28 - No one can snatch them out of my hand ( I'm so happy no one can snatch me out of Gods hand! Hallelujah! BUT, I can walk away myself) When you say, " no one can snatch me out of Gods hand because I will REMAIN in Christ, that's the true reason why you will not lose it, because you are choosing to REMAIN in Him. BUT, you might say, " God promises He will finish a good work in me until Christ returns in Philippians 1:6- YES He will! IFFFFFFFFFF you REMAIN in Christ JOHN 15:4. The Bible teaches that salvation is a process and you can make it to heaven IF YOU REMAIN IN CHRIST!! Jesus said it is HARD to get into heaven Matthew 7:13-14. Believing you cannot forfeit your inheritance is easy, and that is contrary to Gods word. So, If you want a serious teaching on this topic, PLEASE start watching the David Pawson salvation series. We cannot hope to earn it. I also strongly believe that we are called to live a life of obedience to God and His word. OSAS is the perfect doctrine to justify doing anything you want. @@labae8728 Your anti-Catholic sentiments are quite wrong and you need to get your facts right. If you really believe in praying to Jesus for yourself (in the way you seem to be trying to articulate, i.e. excluding intercessors), then logically you would have to condemn "Christians" for asking their fellow "Christians" to pray for them, in order to be consistent. Catholics do pray to Jesus directly, by the way. You need to stop all the anti-Catholic garbage and make consulting this information your number one priority. Your version of Christianity is a counterfeit, and is unhistorical and unbiblical. The Catholic Church is the original Church and you need to belong to it for eternal salvation. Before you dismiss this information by saying you only stick with the Bible, you should know that the very term "Bible" as applied to the books of the Old and New Testaments, comes from St. John Chrysostom, who was a fourth century Catholic bishop. This fact was acknowledged by Protestant scholar, F.F. Bruce. You can see more about this in the video, The First Use of The Bible: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oqqUZGqYp56Wqrs Also, the Catholic Church decided what books were to be in the Bible, so you don't even have a Bible without the Catholic Church. The Bible did not fall out of the sky intact. It was put together by the Catholic Church, which is the Church Jesus established (Matthew 16:18-19). You can't be a follower of Jesus unless you accept all of His teaching and hear His Church. That only happens in the traditional Catholic faith. Additionally, if you're one to label the Catholic use of statues as idolatrous, then your problem would be with God and the Bible, because God specifically commands the making of religious statues. The Bible does not condemn the use of true religious statues and images. See Exodus 25:17-19 below (and keep in mind that cherubim are angels): And thou shalt make a mercy seat pure gold: two cubits and a half the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof. And thou shalt make two cherubims gold, beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat. And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof. Other Bible references which show God's command to make statues for true religious purposes are: Exodus 26:1, 1 Kings 6, 1 Kings 7:25-36 and Numbers 21:8. For more information about what the Bible teaches regarding the use of true religious statues and praying to Saints (not worshipping Saints), please see this audio with Bible references for one's learning: www.mostholyfamilymonastery.com/catholicchurch/bible-praying-to-saints/#.Xy2Eay2ZPs0 God wants you to become a traditional Catholic. I don't mean to join what purports to be the Catholic Church, which is currently headed by the evil man Antipope Francis. That's the Vatican II Counterfeit Catholic Church. Hate to burst your bubble, but he would forsake you if you forsake him. You can separate yourself from God, but cannot separate him from you. The scripture says so. However, you are right. "...True followers will never lose their salvation..." because in order to demonstrate that your faith is genuine, we have to do good works. As long as we do both, in accordance with his will, we will -always- be saved. God will always be with us. However, he may not SAVE us. Those are two distinctive issues. God is with the person shouting at the Cashier @ Walmart. However, he likely ALSO is with that cashier. The person shouting at the cashier isn't doing a good work. So, thus, her mistake if repeated without repentance, she is not doing good works continually. However, God is still with you. You just can't feel his presence/ the feeling of BEING saved. Still, Christ be with you!

You can separate yourself from that behavior and use it as an example of what not to do. However, you should not judge them or their relationship with God. The same goes for all non-believers. I think part of the problem that leads to the controversy is seeing our salvation as something that is already complete rather than that we are "being saved". We can't lose something that is not complete and by the same token we can't fully have it until it is complete. In fact, salvation really has to do with being "made whole" rather than an idea of being "rescued from hell". He who endures to the end will be saved. Certainly by definition the "elect" are secure and the Lord knows those who are his.

Orthodox/Catholics argue that works is required to maintain salvation (and that it is possible to lose salvation). The general consensus among believers is that salvation is a free gift by the grace and mercy of God, and that none of us are good enough to deserve such gift regardless of how many good works we do. Yet, once we have received the wonderful gift of salvation by trusting in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, all of a sudden we're now good enough somehow to maintain this gift through good works? Something we weren't even good enough to deserve it in the first place?

Because allowing the devil to inculcate false teaching into your life, _poisons_ your faith, and wrecks your life, including your testimony? Because we want to be joyful, fruitful Christians, servants of Jesus, and not spiritual shipwrecks? Not every warning is about salvation, or implies loss of salvation. For one thing, what about what Jesus said about. "eternal...everlasting life"? Was what He said true, or was He just running a bait and switch operation, making promises with His fingers crossed behind His back, which He did not intend to honor? That's impossible, isn't it?

@@TheLily97232 It's kind of hard to come to the right way to look at it, but when we are sincerely seeking the truth, He's going to be guiding us into all truth. Our changing to become conformed to His image isn't all finished as long as we're alive down here. But His work on the cross is done, and that is what gives us our standing as sons and daughters, that allows us to live in His grace, not afraid that we will fail to pass the judgment because of our failures, or because we aren't growing fast enough, and we fear that He might grow impatient with us. Because He bore our sin, our sin is imputed to Him, and His righteousness is imputed to us. That's even more important than our growth. But when we rest in it, were so grateful we want to do what pleases Him.

Brother Allen, I agree with most of your teaching. In fact, you are doing a GREAT work in these last days that you MUST continue with all due diligence. NO sin can sever us from Christ - He paid for it all on Calvary's cruel cross. Notwithstanding, God will NEVER override man's free will. If, like Judas, we believe in and follow Christ and later turn away, He will honor our decision to apostatize. It's not a matter of sin, rather free will and choice. Hebrews 6:4-8 makes that abundantly clear. The word for "fall away" in verse 6:6 is PARAPIPTO, meaning to knowingly turn away and reject/return the free gift of salvation that we once embraced. You can never LOSE your salvation - however you CAN premeditatedly walk away. Keep up your critical ministry! And God bless and guide you in all things.

@Melony Kilby Wrong. That's dangerously close to salvation by works, which we know from Ephesians 2:8-9 is not Scriptural. Salvation is by faith and faith alone. Faith in Christ is the only way to reach salvation, and conversely renouncing that faith is the only way a believer can lose his/her salvation.

What about the 10 virgins parable ? They’re a representation of a Christian and they ALL fell asleep waiting for the husband (Jesus) but when they heard He was arriving (most likely the rapture) only 5 of them were wise enough to have oil in their lamps (speaking about an intimate relationship with God. Basically, your gas tank is full lol) and it lights up the way for them to go to the bedchambers. The foolish virgins asked if they could have some of the oil from the wise virgins but the wise ones were wise once more and told them that they needed to go buy some oil for themselves at the market (“pay a price” for that relationship. And I don’t mean we are saved by works. Don’t misunderstand me. But the “price” I speak about is a life of sacrament and intimacy with God in prayer and the reading of His Word). So the foolish virgins left and went to buy oil. But upon their return, the bedchambers were closed and no one else could enter (like the Noah story when the door to the boat was shut.) They knocked and the king (bridegroom) told them to go away because He knew them not ! And He also alluded to them being unclean because of the hour that they were knocking on His door. These were a representation of CHRISTIANS. I strongly believe that if you’re living a righteous life before God then you’re fine. But if you’re a Christian and you continue to sin then I’m sorry, buddy but you can’t be near God cuz He is HOLY. There’s another passage that says that we must have white clothes that is neither stained nor wrinkled (meaning our souls must be clean before Him) and there’s another verse that says that we must be holy because God is holy.

There are few saved because many refuse to BELIEVE in Jesus the Christ for Eternal Life. The way that leads to life is narrow (Matt. 7:13-14). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but by Him (John 14:6). Self-righteous people are on the wrong path. They are on the broad way that leads to destruction (Matt. 7:13). Jesus came to save those who know that they are sick and lost and in absolute need of His deliverance (Matt. 9:12-13; Mark 2:17; Luke 5:31-32; 18:9-14). Of course, that is all of us, all of mankind. However, some people are unwilling to own up to the truth. The cross of Christ is a stumbling block to those who think that they are good enough to deserve kingdom entrance. Those who throughout the course of their lives reject the free gift of salvation and refuse to trust in Christ alone will find out that in reality they are sinners, those who “practice lawlessness” (Matt. 7:23). Only then it will be too late. What would you say if you appeared before God and He said, “Why should I let you into My kingdom?” Matthew 7:22 is the wrong answer. The right answer is, “Lord, I am an unworthy sinner who has placed his complete trust upon what Jesus did for me upon the cross, and He promised that whoever believes in Him has eternal life” (Luke 18:13-14; John 3:16; Rom. 4:5; Eph. 2:8-9; Titus 3:5).May we call people to do the will of God so that they can obtain entrance into the kingdom of God. Those who place their trust wholly in Jesus Christ have done the will of the Father and have already passed from death to life (John 5:24) and will not come into judgment regarding their eternal destiny (John 3:18). Shalom

As a pastor who once was miles from God and knowing I was not covered by His mighty grace any longer, I believe with such an important doctrine where people’s eternal security rests, the topic needs much study to support such a stand. I appreciate your efforts here to help other believers. For the record, I don’t believe that God throws us out but rather humankind has free will. So if someone decides to reject Christianity years later and live a satanic life or just godless existence, then why would this person deserve to live with Jesus in heaven when he clearly didn’t want to live with Him here?! I think in order to decide upon and to preach a doctrine, you need firstly not to find scriptures that support your view especially if the are plenty of scriptures saying the opposite. I would like to hear you overcome the many parables, warnings and teachings all through the Bible before we disregard and ignore clear teachings in the word. Especially when we are warned not to preach a foreign gospel or add to the word. Here are just a few; 1. 10 virgins, 5 that don’t make it and yet all are called and waiting 2. Unforgivable sin against the Holy Spirit where there is no forgiveness. Why would you need this if not saved. 3. Parable of talents, 1 slothful servant of God 4. Rebukes to seven churches, return or have your lamp stand put out 5. Matt 18 dealing with conflict in the church, last move to put the person outside under Satans control so that they maybe saved 6. Tasting of the heavenly gifts and partaken in the Holy Spirit but falling away there is no forgiveness of their sin 7. Rev 12 leave the out Court worshipers 8. Prodigal son, was he restored if he stayed in the pig pen of life? There’s plenty more. What are your thoughts?

So far, none of these you have listed say anything about anyone losing salvation after being in Christ while being used in context. Of course if you separate them from context and study them as stand alone verses, then yes. I guess you can make the argument that it's possible to lose salvation if you twist the meaning to fit a certain view. But in context, none of these support losing salvation. Study scripture as a whole. Not as individual verses. Pick one from your list and let's discuss it with scriptural support.

Love you brother, but you misquoted scripture. You said, “All that the Father has given me, I will not lose one” (7:50). That’s not what the Bible says and is very misleading. The Bible clearly says that it is the WILL OF GOD that He does not lose one. Big difference. It’s also the will if God that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance; but the will of God is not always accomplished. It pains me to see this doctrine promulgated as it is. There is a great apostasy coming (2 Th 2:3, 1 Tim 4:1, Mat 24:9-13) and we should be warning believers as the Bible does (Heb 3:12, for example). Hal Chaffee Thank you for using Scripture to back up what I believed. It is so important as teachers of Scripture that we rightly divide the word of truth. The Scriptures are the final authority on which we base our beliefs. But if our beliefs are based on a misinterpretation of the Scripture we’ll continue to teach it incorrectly. I knew there was a Scripture about the great falling away. And that falling away refers to the Saints. This supports the idea of being able to forfeit entering into the kingdom of God by our own choice.

@@jamesjeson556 I don't believe it is speaking of those who are born again because the next verse says that those who depart from the faith were liars, having their conscience seared, etc. 80% of Americans claim they are of the Christian faith, but that doesn't mean they are born again. We see many departing from the teachings of the faith and are believing lies, but they were never OF the faith. If one truly believes eternal life is by the grace of God through faith in that grace, they would never depart. The problem with those who believe they can lose their salvation is that they don't actually put their faith in Jesus Christ. They put it in their own ability. Those are ones who will depart from the faith because they never really believed the Gospel.

The trickery of using that statement though is to lead your thinking in the wrong direction. It is not a matter of losing your salvation but a matter of a person giving up their salvation to return to their once father satan and making him their father once again and then dying in that state. You said in the beginning that you don’t want nobody to say what they believe but in the 3rd scripture you yourself said “this is why I believe you can’t lose your salvation “. Question though, why does Paul always say that you must endure till the end to be saved? God gives you free will. He won’t make you stay somewhere you don’t want to be. You have to pay attention to words. There are a lot of “ifs” when it comes to your salvation in scripture.

The many “Christians” I know and are my friends believe this doctrine to so they can still have one foot in the world and one foot in the church. They attend seeker friendly churches and they give reasons why it’s ok if this happened because Gods grace. Well God gives us free will. If satan was an angel and was kicked out of heaven with 1/3 of the other angel’s and someone doesn’t believe we could lose our salvation and we never tasted heaven but satan did. This doctrine will lead many to hell. It’s a false hope. If you believe this doctrine and live for Christ then why worry? “Jesus said: I will never leaved your nor forsake you..Hebrews 13:6. Jesus will always be there with arms wide open, however, it doesn’t mean you can’t leave or forsake him. I mean look back on what happen to satan. Judas was on of Jesus disciples and he did many things in Jesus name but what happened to him? He betrayed Jesus and then committed suicide? How could someone do all these things and walk with Jesus yet betray him? 21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ Matthew 7:21-23 The Bible says those that do the will of my father. The fact is if you live for truly live for God why does once saved always saved need to be brought up at all? Revelation 3:5: The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. I will NEVER blot out his name from the book of life? If you don’t conquer then you name can be blotted out of the book of life. Why? Because you turned your back on God. The Bible says if you resist the devil and he will flee. Well there are many people who don’t resist the devil and just don’t repent thinking well I have grace and I was saved so I am good. Do not be deceived! For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬‬:‭24‬ ESV) if possible even the elect will be lead astray. This is clear that false prophets are here now but how can Gods elect be deceived if they are saved? Just live for Jesus and filled with the Holy Ghost and fire and you have nothing to worry about. Remember God gives us free will so if we decide to walk away from him that’s us leaving not him.

I received this message when I asked this same question just in a different way and they explained it very well and clearly. His answer: A frequent question that is asked is "what happens if I sin, and then I die before I have an opportunity to confess that sin to God?" Another common question is "what happens if I commit a sin, but then forget about it and never remember to confess it to God?" Both of these questions rest on a faulty assumption. Salvation is not a matter of believers trying to confess and repent from every sin they commit before they die. Salvation is not based on whether a Christian has confessed and repented of every sin. Yes, we should confess our sins to God as soon as we are aware that we have sinned. However, we do not always need to be asking God for forgiveness. When we place our faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, all of our sins are forgiven. That includes past, present, and future, big or small. Believers do not have to keep asking for forgiveness or repenting in order to have their sins forgiven. Jesus died to pay the penalty for all of our sins, and when they are forgiven, they are all forgiven (Colossians 1:14; Acts 10:43). What we are to do is confess our sins: "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). What this verse tells us to do is "confess" our sins to God. The word "confess" means "to agree with." When we confess our sins to God, we are agreeing with God that we were wrong, that we have sinned. God forgives us, through confession, on an ongoing basis because of the fact that He is "faithful and just." How is God "faithful and just"? He is faithful by forgiving sins, which He has promised to do for all those who receive Christ as Savior. He is just by applying Christ's payment for our sins, recognizing that the sins have indeed been atoned for. At the same time, 1 John 1:9 does indicate that somehow forgiveness is dependent on our confessing our sins to God. How does this work if all of our sins are forgiven the moment we receive Christ as Savior? It seems that what the apostle John is describing here is "relational" forgiveness. All of our sins are forgiven "positionally" the moment we receive Christ as Savior. This positional forgiveness guarantees our salvation and promise of an eternal home in heaven. When we stand before God after death, God will not deny us entrance into heaven because of our sins. That is positional forgiveness. The concept of relational forgiveness is based on the fact that when we sin, we offend God and grieve His Spirit (Ephesians 4:30). While God has ultimately forgiven us of the sins we commit, they still result in a blocking or hindrance in our relationship with God. A young boy who sins against his father is not cast out of the family. A godly father will forgive his children unconditionally. At the same time, a good relationship between father and son cannot be achieved until the relationship is restored. This can only occur when a child confesses his mistakes to his father and apologizes. That is why we confess our sins to God-not to maintain our salvation, but to bring ourselves back into close fellowship with the God who loves us and has already forgiven us.

For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 6:4-6 King James Version 4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. The Sin (For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins) that Hebrews is referring to is rejecting the Gospel of Salvation that is the only Sin that can not be forgiven. For rejecting Christ is the unforgivable Sin. So many times people use Hebrews wrongly to try to place people back under the law. When you hear the Gospel and accept its truth you are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, and are saved. Therefore you can not fall away. this verse obliterates the "You can lose you salvation argument", because first it says "IMPOSSABLE", second it says if you reject that Gospel you can not earn your way thus reiterating all the scripture that confirms security. Every time you go back to the Law you are in fact crucifying' Christ all over again ignoring John 19:28-30 King James Version 30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. Can a Christian lose Salvation? "If I can show your Catholic doctrines are false my belief in eternal security, sola fide/scriptura, Predestination, OSAS therefore win by default." The idea that a Christian can somehow achieve both salvation and “eternal security” instantaneously from just one mental commitment by simply declaring one’s faith and repentance to the Lord, has to be a statement of eternal optimism, rather than a claim to eternal security. It is the height of arrogance defying the 75 verses that how a committed Christian can lose their salvation. These "doctrines" were unknown in the Church for the first 1500 years, before Calvin and few scholars supported them. Look at all the great theologians of the Church like Origen, Augustine, Iraneous, Lucian, Aquinas and others who were familiar with such passages but NEVER made such a dangerous inference from any Scriptural passage. There are an abundance of warnings in Scripture however, of how salvation can be lost. If grace is ALL that’s needed and salvation cant be lost these warnings are utterly nonsensical. It is a common view among protestants who believe Salvation by faith alone but only a small minority who claim eternal security. Even Luther believed that a Christian can commit apostasy or grave sin and lose salvation! There are numerous examples of Christians who have renounced their faith and lost the grace of God. Some scholars however audaciously claim, that not even apostasy can cause loss of salvation. John 15:- For those faithful attached to the True Vine, they can clearly lose salvation if they fail to produce “good fruit. When Jesus speaks in parables it is to all ages. In the following quotes below , some protestants will claim, the passages are to either a select “unsaved” audience or in general to those who were never true Christians in the first place. For your Salvation's sake, the Vine Keeper can't cut off what wasn't attached in the first place!! Paul affirms JOHN 15 that the faithful may be "CUT OFF" He writes in Romans 11 "Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness to you, PROVIDED you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off." 2 Peter 2:20, NIV: "If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning." Clearly if you have come to know the Lord but then fall back into the evil ways of the world, you will be worse off than those who do not know Christ. Luke 15: In the parable of the Prodigal Son, the Father will never turn his back on us but knows that its nearly always thru suffering and failure that we may come to seek forgiveness. If God has orchestrated or predestined our future before we were born, why would there be so much joy over one son/sheep who was lost than 100 ungrateful angry “faithful” followers? 2 Tim 2 IF we died with him, we will also live with him; 12 IF we endure, we will also reign with him. IFwe disown him, he will also disown us Hebrews 6 4 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened,(the author was likely an eye-witness) who have tasted the heavenly gift, (received sanctification/grace!) who have shared in the Holy Spirit, (Baptised?) 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God (inspired by Scripture) and the powers of the coming age 6 and who have fallen away (gravely sinned), to be brought back to repentance (state of grace). Calvinists will claim this passage refers to a specific audience of Jews or uncommitted Christians. But no one who has read and understood the implications of John and Luke 15 could make that assumption. In the light of Jesus’ parables which chronologically predate the epistle, no one familiar with them could suggest that the Hebrews text is not a conformational warning for ALL “enlightened“ Christians and those to come of what might happen if they “fall away.” Hebrews 10 The author concludes that Christianity is consequently superior to Judaism. The Christians are then warned against apostasy and the “fearful prospect of judgment” (10:27) that awaits “those who have spurned the Son of God” (10:29). They are urged to persevere in their faith following the heroic example of others well known to them. The emphasis on Christ’s priestly mediation and statements on faith and the Mosaic Law are not typical of other Pauline writings 26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. 28 Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,”[d] and again, “The Lord will judge his people.”[e] it is rather tragic and sad when some Christians make the text fit their theology rather than vice versa. Such I believe is the minority view of unconditional or eternal security. I believe there are many instances that the text says salvation can be lost in the following passages: Heb 6 4 It is impossible for those who have tasted the goodness of the word of God….. to be brought back to repentance (state of grace). Heb 10 26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, John 15 “IF you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; 10 IF you keep my commands, you will remain in my love….. IF you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 2 Peter 2:20, NIV: "If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning." Do I need to show more examples of warnings in Scripture of how salvation can be lost? No one with an openmind could read these passages and claim they refer to false or uncommitted Christians who may be tempted and fall away. Why would a born again need to pray daily for the grace of God to save us from temptation, IF only a TRUE believer has eternal security and cant fall away how can anyone belive ? Moreover, think about the Jesus CHOSE 12 disciples who all initially accepted him as true believers, but one after several years through temptation and greed chose to sell him out. Another chose to deny him three times. What does this say about loss of salvation and eternal security?. None of the great theologians of the Church like Origen, Augustine, Eranaus, Lucian, Aquinas and Luther who all knew such passages believed in unconditional salvation. Yes, some people who were never saved may fall away but one cant say all followers like Peter were never saved. See Rom 11:22 ....... also "it is the one who endures to the end who will be saved."(Matt 10:22) and "they believe for a while then in times of temptation, they fall away." Luke 8:13 Care to comment on these passages? "IF we hold fast to the Word I preach to you?" 1 Cor 3:15 Paul was clearly concerned about his followers who might return to former sinful ways that might lose them salvation, right? So may I ask are you a Calvinist who believes in eternal security? The path to salvation is a battlefield of fighting the good fight, keeping the faith and staying in the race, as Paul said to Timothy so that the reward is his. "Faith without GOOD WORKS is dead" faith! Where in the Sermon on the Mount did Jesus say "bless are those whose faith alone has saved them, for the Kingdom of God is theirs." Everything about his life and those of the disciples was about WORKS! Those who stand, stand by God's Grace, Those who fall, fall by their own freewill!

OSAS is built on a FALSE premise: the word "saved" That word is not defined correctly by OSAS clergy. In the new testament there are 2 similar words ...salvation and saved. Salvation in the GREEK is soterion which means to deliver from. Saved in the GREEK is sozo. which means to heal, to make whole. A person who believes about the death, burial and resurrection of JESUS..or accepts the gospel or JESUS , or grace or forgiveness or pardon is not healed or transformed in character just by acceptance or assent to truth. JESUS teaches ,that the meek shall inherit the Earth, the pure in heart shall see God, a person's righteousness has to exceed that of the Pharisees. Heb 12:14..one must be holy. ALSO God's forgiveness is void if one does not forgive others . MATT 6 , MATT 18 See parable of soils and.....the word "IF" in the bible!!!!! THEN….. look at 1 COR 9:27 where PAUL , of ALL people, does not have eternal security. He explains in the next chapter. Then there is JUDE, 2 PET 2, Heb 6 & 10 OSAS is for the deceived bible ignorant.

At night I feel and hear demonic forces in my home and over my body. I anoint my head with oil and drop to my knees and purge myself from any "willing" or "hidden" faults. Then I go to war with the Kingdom of Darkness. If you "lost" your salvation then you was a just another one of the many "false" convert. True converts by the mercy and grace of God crawled out of the snares of death, disease, destruction, desolation and damnation and once given a taste of salvation, we would rather die than to give it up and turn back to the old man like a pig goes to his slop. 2 Cor. 5:17 God Bless, Brother Zachariah Isaiah

Again, I agree with you 100%. I would add that if a person thought he or she was saved then rejects God later in their lives, then I would have to question their salvation in the first place. But I believe rejecting God and backsliding are two different things. We can’t make the judgement of a persons salvation because we can’t see into a persons heart, their salvation or lack of salvation is between them and God.

My friend and I had this discussion today. She believes that even if a believer worships the beast and takes the mark of the beast, to save their life so they can buy food etc.., they will still have eternal life with God because because nothing we do will separate us from God if we accepted Him and believed on Him. I said that if someone takes the Mark and worships the beast, they never belonged to God no matter what they claimed to believe. Was i wrong to try to correct her by telling her that those who take mark and worship the beast, even if it is just to save their life, they will not be going into eternity with Christ.

Why so many believe they are saved by what they do instead of what Jesus has done for us. Romans 11:6 It is all grace, not works, if it was by works, then it would not longer be grace, and if by grace, it is no more work. You can not mix law/works with grace. If you add one thing a person has to do to be saved, then it is all works and no grace. And no one can save themselves. We can only be saved. Romans 4:5-8 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. People who believe you can lose your salvation are trusting in their works, and not Jesus Finished work on the cross. They have never done the will of His Father. Matthew 7:21-23 Many will come to me on that day and call me Lord, and tell me about all their good works. Jesus says, Depart from me ye that work iniquity, I never knew you. Jesus tells us in verse 21 why these people believed they were saved, but they were lost.. They never did the will of His Father. What is the will of His Father? John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent me, that ALL that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up on the last day. Salvation by works never works. We can only be saved by faith alone in Christ alone plus nothing. No works. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Free gift. No works. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace ye are saved, through FAITH, and that not of yourselves, (we did nothing for it) it is the GIFT of God, NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast. Those boasters that told Jesus about all their good works, never said one thing about Him dying and paying their sin debt in full so that they would not have to go to hell to pay for their sins. They never believed Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. They never trusted in His AMAZING GRACE, they trusted in their own works to save themselves. Not what Jesus did for us. John 6:29 Jesus, answered, and said unto them, this is the work of God, that ye BELIEVE ON THE ONE HE HAS SENT. AMAZING GRACE, JESUS PAID IT ALL AND WE PAID 0. IT IS FREE, or not at all. Good works are fine, they just can not justify a sinner. Keeping Gods laws is good, it just can not save us. John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me HATH EVERLASTING LIFE. No works, FREE GIFT. Our sin debt is paid in full and we can never be condemned again. John 3:18 Those that believe you can lose your salvation are trusting in what they do to save themselves and are not saved.

Few false doctrines are more dangerous than the Calvinistic assertion of “eternal security” or “once saved, always saved.” Sadly, this dangerous doctrine flatly contradicts Scripture, and it is commonly used as a smokescreen to justify sinful lifestyles. In other words, “once saved, always saved” appeals to the most carnal leanings of our humanity. It gives false legitimacy for sin, false comfort to sinners, and builds a pseudo-biblical barrier between countless sinners and repentance. Let’s put it this way; nothing can force you to separate yourself from God except you. Satan can’t make you do it any more than he made Eve do it. Eve exercised her free will. Adam exercised his free will. And they both suffered the consequences of their actions. Sin separates us from a right relationship with God, but it does not remove us from the love of God. For example, “…(Romans 5:8).” God loves us even while we are in sin, but to say the cross made sin acceptable is to undermine the cross’s necessity in the first place completely. The phrasing shows Paul’s assumption that believers would naturally understand sinful lifestyles must be discarded after salvation. Furthermore, the apostle Peter calls us to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, (1 Peter 2:21-22).” A few verses down, he underscores that Jesus “(1 Peter 2:24-25).” "...Go and sin NO MORE" (Jesus) James 4:4 You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. Wrong understanding of Grace: "Grace gives you the freedom to sin." Right understanding of Grace: "Grace gives you the power NOT to sin." We don’t do good works to become saved, we do good works because we are saved. OSAS is not Biblical. Please study your Bibles vs listen to man.

I'd say that yes, once you are saved you are always saved. If, for instance, you continue to live a life of sin (and that of course, is only between you and God, yet can be highlighted by others in love), then I would say that possibility you were never saved to begin with. But even then, we are led into the dangerous territory of, ok so what is the bar? So if someone tells white lies as a 'Christian' and someone else is found to be continually cheating on their spouse as a 'Christian', then who is 'going to heaven'? By our standards, more likely the first person. By God's standards, none of them except if by Jesus which covers all sin, although yes we should still run from it. I pray that makes sense.

@@connorkilby4598 there is a way that seems right to a man, but it’s end is death. It sounds right to our flesh to say that person must not have ever been saved. Unfortunately it’s just not what the Bible says. The Bible says that someone who is truly saved and forgiven can in fact lose their salvation. Jesus taught this in Matthew 18:23-35 when he tells the story of a guy who was forgiven of all of his debt but because he refused to forgiven his fellow servant then all of his forgiveness was revoked. Then Jesus said to his disciples this would happen to them as well if they didn’t obey Him. Check it out and come out of your deception.

@@abideintheWord We find the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant only in Matthew 18:23-35. The Apostle Peter had asked how many times one should forgive, "Till seven times?" and Jesus answered, "Not seven times but seventy times seven" (Matthew 18:21-22). The context of this passage is Jesus teaching His disciples about the "kingdom of heaven." We can take some very important principles from this parable and apply them to our lives today. The servant whose lord forgave him much, ten thousand talents, equivalent to several millions of dollars, was unwilling to forgive another servant who owed him a hundred denarii. A denarius was a day’s wage and was worth approximately sixteen cents. Therefore, compared to what the first servant was forgiven, this was a very small amount. The principle here is, "the one forgiven much should forgive much." In other words, the principle of forgiveness is that grace or forgiveness to another is without limit. The disciples are not to count the number of times they forgive. Rather, as the parable teaches, they are to forgive much because God has forgiven much. In the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, Jesus is presenting a new principle that is similar to the basis of the forgiveness command for believers found in Ephesians 4:32, "And be ye kind to one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you." Jesus is teaching His disciples pre-cross, and therefore in the pre-church age, but the basis for forgiveness is the same. Because God has forgiven us, we are to forgive each other. Therefore, because we have received much grace, "while we were yet sinners Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8), we are commanded to give that same grace to others. In the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant, the first servant’s debt was forgiven, and he was not required to repay until his unforgiving nature was discovered. In contrast, our sin debt was paid in full by Christ and is the only basis for God’s forgiveness. We cannot repay our debt to God or earn our salvation. It is a gift of grace (Ephesians 2:8-9). Therefore, in the Parable of the Unforgiving / Unmerciful / Unjust Servant, Jesus is teaching His disciples, and us by extension, that forgiveness should be in like proportion to the amount forgiven. The first servant had been forgiven all, and he then should have forgiven all. In like manner, a child of God by faith through Christ has had all sins forgiven. Therefore, when someone offends or sins against us we should be willing to forgive him from a heart of gratitude for the grace to which we ourselves are debtors. So, yeah... once your saved.... your always saved. Stop preaching add-ons to salvation 😉

Brother Allen, I appreciate and respect the work you do for the lord. I am a subscriber and I will continue to watch your videos. However, with that said I must respectfully disagree that once saved always saved. I agree works do not save us but the grace of God. We cannot earn our way to heaven. I also believe we can be forgiven multiple times for our sins and no sin is too great to be covered by Jesus atonement for our sins. Nevertheless, if we turn away from God and do not repent we chose not to serve him. Matthew 7:21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. This verse is not just for false prophets but anyone who is not doing God’s will. If a believer is unrepentant of the sins in 1 Corinthians 6:9, Galatians 5:21, and Revelation 21:8 they will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Continually committing the sins mentioned in those chapters without repenting would contradict God’s word. Saying I am sorry is different from repenting. Furthermore, in Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Many people want to have enough of Jesus to be saved but still have fun with the devil. I believe that it is risky because your heart could turn away from God and you won't repent anymore. Some peopleget old, sick, or injured and choose to repent. However, we could be killed instantly without a chance to repent. Even when we have been baptized we must choose who we will serve. We could fall away and even come into unbelief. God does not force us to choose. God wants all of us to return home to him. God will forgive us if we ask Him. However, individuals have to ask for forgiveness and try to serve to the best of our ability. Respectfully. Your brother in Christ The Minister Artist

Dear The Minister Artist I am not sure what point you are making. I assume that you agree with Christian theology that salvation comes by faith only, in the work of Jesus Christ, separate of you own efforts (works). Are you implying that salvation is maintained or retained (at least in part) by what we do (our works) ? If this is what you are trying to say, then this would not be a Scriptural understanding of the Christian doctrine of salvation. It appears that your understanding of soteriology may have some misconceptions. Do genuine Christians sin ? Yes. If a Christian sins will he lose his salvation ? No, not under the Gospel endorsed by Scripture, because Scripture clearly teaches salvation is by faith, not by works. If you say one loses his salvation because of his behavior then your salvation is based upon faith plus works, which is not the Christian basis of genuine salvation. The faith plus works gospel, is one of the "different gospels" mentioned in Gal. 1. Christians don't work and serve God, to become Christians (because all our good we do is not up to God's standards); we work and serve God because we are Christians. You said, "Many people want to have enough of Jesus to be saved but still have fun with the devil." This description does not fit the Biblical description of a Christian, who is a new creation in Christ where the old has passed away and he is now indwelled and sealed by the Holy Spirit. If you see someone like you described, I would assume they were not a genuine Christian. Your perception of regeneration and Spiritual grow appears to be weak. They may have enough of Jesus to be Christianized into institutional Christianity, but not enough belief in God's grace through Jesus, to be a geniune Christian. There is a very significant difference between the two. You mentioned, "We could fall away and even come into unbelief." I'm just curious; how would your statement be understood in the light of 1 John 2:19 ("They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us.") Would you agree that people could verbally profess to be Christians, fellowship regularly with Christians and externally act and look like Christians, but not be genuine Christians; just very close Christian counterfeits. They are not genuine Christians and do not have the Holy Spirit indwelling them; they have never become a new creation in Christ, but are imitation Christians; and they may be convinced in their mind, they are Christians. When they leave (fall from grace/fall away), it appears that they have fallen away from Christianity and many would describe the situation as such. This scenario certainly explains a lot of the phenomena that we see. Wish I could sit and talk with you. Many thanks for your consideration. DZ

I agree that we are saved by faith and accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Sin cannot make anyone lose their salvation. Works strengthens our faith and we can show our faithfulness through works. Works itself cannot save. I am simply saying that if someone chose to deny Christ after being saved that person chose to reject Christ. Christ calls us but he does not force us to stay with Him. Anyone who repents and asks for forgiveness will receive His grace and mercy.

Thankyou brother for the clear explanations in this video of many doctrines you touched on relating to God’s power to save and keep us in His care. You rightly said it is not our doings that save us but it is ALL Gods love and power.

In one of my visitations to hell, Jesus showed me a person who was a Christian (Jesus said “he was a Christian like you”). But the guy unfortunately started sleeping around (1 cor 6:9). He died middle aged and went to hell forever it was dark but Jesus lit up the area, he asked Jesus for another chance but unfortunately it was too late for him, Pretty sad, Repent and ask Jesus to help you with your struggles (James 4:7)

I think there's a huge miscorrelation here. Salvation is not about being saved and sinning. But about believing to the end. We were saved because we respond by faith in God's offer of salvation. Unless, God forced us to believe in Him, then He can Forced us to remain in Him and will be saved 'till the end.
