When my husband was 16 years old, at a youth conference, another kid told him “God told me you don’t have diabetes anymore.” So my husband who had no discernment yet (how many 16yo’s have discernment?) took off his insulin pump. He nearly died because of false prophecy. False prophecy is not just an “oopsie.” Bethel church teaches that prophecy must be practiced and it’s ok to mess up prophecy. Scripture is opposed to this teaching. Let us all pray for discernment 💜

I was once a victim of false prophecies given by a false prophet, which led me into severe depression and caused me to waste three years of my life(2020 - 2022). Now, I choose to forgive and move forward. This tragedy occurred mainly because, at that time, I chose to follow this person instead of Jesus. Brothers and sisters, I still believe that the Holy Spirit speaks to us every day, but we must rely on Jesus to discern the true from the false, not on any particular person. By diligently studying God's Word (logos), we can distinguish whether the rhema and prophecies are in accordance with God's teachings.

The best way to ensure that one is not misled by a false teaching or an incorrect advice is to be sure that one is following all of the counsel contained in the word of God and to compare every teaching and every advice to that same word. That word is the only sure safeguard against any error. It is not right to just allow anyone to give us advice without ensuring that it harmonizes with the word of God.

I would like to make to suggestions for everyone: Learn to hear God's voice for yourself and rely on that primarily. We learn God's voice by reading His word, hear what we KNOW he has already said. BTW if you have only read the New Testament, you haven't gotten a full picture and do yourself a disservice. Secondly, my experience has been that God can use anyone to speak to me, they often don't even know it. I have had complete strangers who weren't even Christians speak to me out of the blue, not even knowing what they were saying, and it would be the answer to something I had been seeking the Lord about. Great video brother, keep them coming!

Excellent teaching! Also, look at Queen Jezebel and Ahab….The danger of compromise and mixing idolatry (prosperity doctrine, man worship, running after “words” more than and/ or rather than Jesus Christ), mixing witchcraft with God’s Holy gifts by unholy people. God can speak through anyone and still does as He wills, but there is definitely some extra Biblical, scary stuff going on in some Christians circles. I was involved heavily in the prophetic movement at one time and God has been detoxifying and reteaching me about prophecy and His Gifts through the BIBLE in CONTEXT. Praise the Lord.

when i was a kid, i had an episode of a severe asthma attack. back then, some people in the penticostal church we attended told my dad that "God" told them to toss my inhaler instead of administering it to me if they believe He could heal me. we were fairly new christians but my dad had the good sense to do otherwise once they left. two decades later, my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. some other people who were in the words of allen "sincere but sincerely wrong", told my dad that "God" is telling him to call off the treatment and surgery as he would be healed supernaturally. again, my dad did otherwise and today he is in remission. it is by the grace of God that my dad knew how to exercise discernment otherwise we both could have been six feet deep or worse still, have our faith completely shipwrecked due to these false promises. unfortunately, there are innocent christians out there who are getting bamboozled simply because of self-proclaimed prophets claiming to speak on behalf of God and that's what makes my blood boil. what i want to say is thank you Allen for this video. this is the kind of wisdom that a lot of us in the church need.

Wonderful topic and teachings like this needs to taught more. I was a young Christian growing up and it was ao common to go see the people who comes to town and say they are prophets. Well I'll never forget the day the Lord spoke to me regarding always going to get a word, from theses people who comes to town. Therw was this prophet from Buffalo New York that came to town and he was said to be the man that you want to hear. So I went to where he was and i had prayed that God woild give him a Word for me So the prophet is in his lane flowing with words, seeing for everyone but me. I prayed again because it was nearing thr end if service, Lord give this man a Word for me. Clear as day the Lord spoke to my spirit and said, these words that I can't forget: I speak to you and you run around to hear me from another? So for years no prophet spoke to me, they woold see me and say things like, young lady I see so much but I can't saya word. Or they would just look or stare and say the hand of God is on your life. Over the years the Lord have dealt me and tested me so. Now if anyone say anything to me, they really only confirm what God has told me or showed me. If they say anything that was not revealed to me in that moment I hear them however I pray as they speak to me about this, sometimes God lets me know in that moment if I should take heed or not. If that is said doesn't line up with the word, I disregard with a thought.

I loved this video .. My take away is "DISCERNMENT" .. We will continuously get messages from GOD; during a preaching, our daily prayers, a sermon, or even a conversation. ("IF" we are following GOD, that is, and not ourselves): These messages are for "OURSELVES" .. Remember that we are not sent from GOD, we often think the messages we are given is about others and we need to tell others to apply it to "THEIR" lives .. This is the "wrong thinking", we need to apply these teachings from GOD into our own lives first; then share the changes we have made in our own lives, to help others to learn "Discernment" for themselves .. Thank you and GOD Bless everyone ..

To this day, I've not written seriously because I feel God would send me confirmation if she were true. I keep feeling pulled, like I need to write my testimony...
