Yeah I don't think it's fair of the video to compare good ole fashioned, creative neighborhood lights by people using their own money verses organizations or cities hiring professionals to light up city centers. lol

Dyker heights during Christmas is known as dyker lights but during Halloween it’s known as dyker frights as they really go nuts decorating. Dyker heights is actually very close to LaGuardia airport so it’s a bit of a pain to hear stuff but they live with it.

The Lego Christmas tree is actually done in sections with each tier arriving once a day over a week. It’s snapped together and wired on site slowly. The lights go in last. It’s removed by section too as it’s quick and quiet. Basically overnight they lose all the Christmas stuff in January. Same with Disney as it all disappears overnight. The new years banners go in for a day or two then switch to something else. It’s a very quick turnaround. The universal tribute store shuts just like that and it goes into another thing. Theme parks are seriously quick about getting things up and down.

Yeah and I was actually a ride operator at Legoland California a few month's ago before the world's first Lego Ferrari was built and the life sized Lego car can really only go about 20 MPH and was created in Denmark and shipped here to the US via freight.

I love Christmas decorations. Thanks for the video. Years ago, a neighbor of mine bought an entire mini Victorian village and used cotton for snow and filled their dining room. It was beautiful. They opened up their home to the public.

As I grew up in Green Bay Wisconsin there was a house that would literally spend over 5000$ in lights and people would check it out every Christmas and play music and the lights would go with the music Sadly they moved when I got to my teen years but so many memories

Where I live (New Mexico), many town houses, businesses and the plaza are decorated with lights and luminarias. They're small paper bags held down with sand, inside they contain a lit candle. (If you look it up, you'll see how beautiful it looks). In some towns, the main roads and highways are lined with luminarias. People will walk along those roads with prayers. Then there's the regular decorated houses. Happy holidays!!❄️☃️🎄

Christmas Lane in Kenosha WI has always been a go to. The residents on the street are required to decorate their house. The surrounding streets have joined in over the years. Best part is all they ask for is food donations for the local food pantry to help those in need during this time of the year.

My favorite Christmas memory as a kid was one particular street in my city that every single house coordinated their lights and put on a great display. They even had a Santa in the cul-de-sac that handed out Christmas snacks and treats to every car that stopped by. The 90s was a wild time.!

In my town of Athens Ohio, there is a family that’s house gets decorated each year. Their lights are synced to a short-wave radio station in their house so as you drive up and park to watch, you can listen to the music and stories. Like one moment you’ll see lights showing Santa going down a chimney while that song plays (whatever it’s called). The next you see the lights setup looking like the grinch that make it look like he is walking away with the kids presents while the Grinch song plays. It’s awesome to watch, and the family only takes donations through the year to do it but i# free to all.

I live in MI, US, so some yrs we have snow but not usually. I live on southern border. I can walk to Indiana or be in Ohio with short car ride. My son lives in mid MI, very middle of the mitten. (Put out your hand and you have MI,) aside from Upper Penninsula. Anyway, point of comment is i have always wanted to visit Australia and New Zealand at Christmas time and celebrate on the beach! I want to visit there anyway, but having Christmas in summer is such a foreign concept to me. I also want to visit UK, but in the summer. Don't need more cold and rain. I think its amazing that you have ancient castles, Roman wall and parts of buildings from before medieval times! Sooo cool. Of course, when people are born somewhere, it's not a big deal. I live less than an hr from Lake Mich and grew up in Pittsburgh PA where the term "yinz" for "you guys" is normal. Hope you enjoyed the book i just wrote. LOL. ❤ you guys. Brought me many happy hrs.
