I would like to give you a piece of information . You can add a pressure tank on top of the water heater and it will help the tank out tremendously and allow it to last much longer. The pressure tank cost between 50 and 100 and is well worth it for whatit does. I never wanted to use them but they clearly do work and help. Great video and glad you got things fixed.💯👏💪😎

My husband build's high-rises around Boston and other areas. The company does all the concrete. However, he can repair and do the things you and Justin do. We also have a sump pump in our cellar. Half of the cellar we made a master bedroom/ 1/2 bathroom. However, if we lose power for a few hours, the water starts to flood. About 2 years ago, I got out of bed and the water was up to my ankles and freaking ice cold. The pump gave out. What a mess. He took care of all that also. Money saved on repairing our cars and pick-up's. I also tell women, marry a man who can do it all. I have watched you guys since day 1. I have the first hoodie, you guys sold. Bought them thru the years along with t-shirts. So, glad you guys are just pushing along. Thanks for all the laughs.

Should have put a drip pan under the new one. Then added a shut off valve on the heater as we'll well worth the extra $10 this way if you have any issues later you can just bypass the heater an still have water in your home.. I use the watts aqua lock fasteners so far so good. Replaced mine this spring my old one went 22 years was a Richmond new one is a rheem works great

My hotwater heater and furnace are both 6 years old. My wife an I replaced them after the first year in our new house just to be safe. We converted from electric to gas an save so much money. We have 7 kids so we us alot of water.

That sucks. Had this happen in my parents house awhile back made a huge mess. When my husband and I moved into our home it had a old water heater in it so we replaced it with a tank less and we like it.

We have two water heaters both the same age, and we have to replace one finally after them being 20 years old. One is gas and one is electric. We're changing out the gas one this sunday. The fact the lastest that long even is a miracle. But damn they aint cheap at allllllll

I replaced mine last year as preventative maintenance. It was 15 years old and worked great. I cut it open to see how bad the inside looked. It was really clean and I only drained it twice. The only place it might’ve failed is where yours did from rust. It blows me away some builders put a water heater in the attic.

Looking at the S/N, the old one looks to be manufactured in February 2000 "B00". So a good 25 Years! Ain't no way a new one will last half that....

I've been at my residence since 1993 and I'm on my 4th electric water heater. They have leaked-rusted out on the bottom. A thermostat went bad last November on #4 and caught a break when labor and the part were covered. When this craps out I will look into a tankless heater.

you will definitely need a dehumidifier, one that covers about 10,000 sqft. more than you need is better. let that puppy run and drain in the sump. it will need to run for quite a while like a month or two easy. you don't want black mold to form. we had water damage from a crack in the foundation and when there was a thunderstorm water came in. once it was fixed we ran the dehumidifier non stop and it shows a reading of set level and actual level. we had is set for 45% and there were times it was at 80% but now it stays at 35-40% and it wont come on unless it detects humidity above the setting i put in. works real good.

I just replaced my anode rod in my water heater last week. Having a impact wrench makes it super easy. Replace it every 3 years or so and get 20 years or more from a water heater.

I’d feel worse for Trey if he hadn’t been laughing through most of it. All those rugs on the floor probably was a bit of a blessing. Without them, the water would have traveled much further. From what I'm seeing online it says the year on these are usually the first 2 numbers of the serial number. Which would make the old one a 1980's model, not sure if that's 100% correct but if you go to the manufacture's website and type that serial number in it doesn't come back with anything and they don't have a a data base for anything earlier than 1990's models. Regardless yall most definitely got your moneys worth out of it!
