The only way that joint counselling works is when BOTH are involved in saving the marriage. If only one shows up emotionally and physically, it is going to fail because resentment will build up.

This works for us: when we have something to discuss or something we don’t agree on, we say “Table talk.” We sit at our table, respect each others time to talk, and at the end, review where we agree. This has worked for 13 years.

Guy is hip to the game. Sending vague messages so he doesn't get caught. If he had any kindness in his heart towards his wife, he would have sent her the friendly flowers. But, he's being Mr nice guy and planting seeds for developing a strong relationship with someone other than his wife.

I'm wondering why she wants to rescue a relationship where it looks like if you weren't married he'd be gone. How long are you going to be this hard on your self. Even if he's not cheating you are not feeling loved. Life is too short to stay that sad and confused around being with someone who you don't feel even likes you. Ask him some straight questions at the next session and decide from there. I'm saying this with out even listening to war of the roses outcome.

If you get a free gift that woman might like and you're having issues in your relationship you send it to the woman but you are in the relationship with it doesn't always help but at least it's a start

Obviously neither of them are fighting for the marriage. To let sex go for a year and not even discuss why it's not happening is a huge sign. Stop settling with a less then mediocor marriage and move on. Find true love ❤️ it is possible. Sh*t I'd rather be single and sexless then married and sexless

Were y’all intimate more before counseling? Maybe he has trouble playing piano. Is he extremely self conscious? For sure there is a problem, because most guys want piano. It could be that he is interested in another woman or man, but he doesn’t want to end your marriage. He isn’t intimate with you as a way of not cheating on the person he really loves.
