As a suggestion, when you said that you made a video about wealth and it didn`t do as well as other you tubers video`s, I was waiting for a link to the video to pop up on the screen as you chatted. Because of your experience as a financial advisor the video further peaked my interest. But I cannot be bothered to go through the effort of looking for the video you mentioned. So you have a potential missed opportunity there for further views on the video that didn`t work well initially, because other viewers may feel the same way as me.

Did you consider that the success of a given video is sometimes directly linked to YT's algorithm and how your video was distributed across the site? Granted there's a lot of interest in etsy but from what I've heard finance is one of the very top niches here. So I think you could also remember that 1) your videos will continue to generate income over time 2) the more videos you post that will solidify your presence and potentially bring about interest in older videos that aren't getting as much notice right now. I'm not very interested in finance a fact which is evident by looking at my bank statement. Good luck all the same.

Nice content! Few years back I was assistant to a wealthy pen artist and within the short period I worked with him I observed that he had quite a chunk of investment everywhere, stocks, crypto, dividend investing to name a few, so he had revenues coming in from all angles. And in a year his worth doubled. With this I learned that the rich stay rich by investing.

Effective personal finance management is more important than the amount of money saved, regardless of whether income is earned through job or investment. Individuals can seek counsel from a certified financial advisor to optimize financial outcomes, who can provide specialized advice and methods to decrease expenses and maximize income.

I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor, seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.

I love your authenticity. Lots of KZbinrs are claiming that starting a new channel will be saturated and super difficult for new creators. I started my YT journey a year ago and already crossed 85k\month with two major channels. The reason they say that is because they do not want you to take a piece of the cake. It will never be saturated and there's always more room for new creators. However I did notice that all the influencers are just keeping the real methods to themselves. I understood that after reading an eBook. No one is talking about how to outrank competitor videos, how to bring additional traffic outside YT, how to do proper off page SEO etc etc.

not entirely true, the more people know about it the more competition you have meaning the more creative you have to get, so you end up spending more time and effort to out compete everyone else on something that is supposed to have a balanced reward/effort ratio and be simple, then you’re back to square one trying to do a side hustle that

You're certainly doing one thing correct that a lot of KZbinrs are not and that is your not using 20 words when you could use just one. I watch a lot of KZbin videos and I find myself having a short attention span. If someone starts having verbal diarrhea I am gone. And I know I'll always look at how long the video is compared to how interested I think I am in the content. Too long and I don't even click on it.

But I love how all the channels on the manifestation magically have dozens of comments saying that the creator is so kind for putting out all this wonderful free content… they aren’t putting out free content. They are putting out a marketing funnel and their goal is to get your email address so they can continue to market to you infinitely. I’m trying to call them out, but it’s insulting how disingenuous they are. The reason they manifest a lot of money is because they lie about manifesting a lot of money so that they can get you to buy something from them teaching you how to manifest a lot of money when in reality the only way to manifest that money would be to do what they are doing, which is not a very good long-term Plan in my opinion based on… Wait for it… The laws of manifestation. 😂
@LeahIsHereNow

@@blip-2024 they want you to join their master group because you can’t accomplish anything unless you do. It’s been the same blueprint for so many years that it’s shocking that it still works, but I don’t want anything to do with tricking people into believing that I’m some kind of manifestation specialist or financial expert when in reality the reason, those people make money is by lying about being an expert or specialist in anything. That being said, there are a lot of legitimate ethical ways to make money online. The online coaching BS is not it unless you truly are a certified expert at some thing and you could truly get somebody to pay you hundreds or thousands of dollars an hour… But the whole fake it until you make it as lying about all that stuff to trick people into buying an e-book from you… That’s just gross and it will backfire eventually. I’ve seen it many times.

Finance channels make the most money on KZbin by far. $30-$40 per 1,000 views, when most channels are like $5 or less. So the average channel with the same views would have made less than $1,000. Probably more like $500. That is why so many people quit KZbin. Graham Stephan talked about it.

If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame- ster, I would have quit a long time ago. Building wealth from nothing involves consistent saving, disciplined spending, and strategic investments. Begin by creating a budget to track expenses and identify areas for savings. When you become monetized, does YT decide what/who advertises on your videos? Or do you have to find them? How does that work? What role do you play in that?

About 50 bucks here, after 15 years... but, I never got the money, because they wanted me to scan and send my DL, and that was not going to happen. So basically, 15 years struggling to get monetized making videos turned out to be a complete waste of time. 50,000 dollars worth of labor estimated at 10 dollars an hour with zero return on investment. If you're a new creator, I recommend you get a job at Taco Bell. You'll make more in one day than I did in 15 years creating videos for KZbin just to get half a million views. Views don't pay though. Nor do subscribers. People actually giving you a check or handing over their money pays.

I am so glad you posted this and that I stumbled across it. I am wanting to start a KZbin channel and don’t really have a clear focus on what the content will be. It’s kind of more of a fun thing to do on the side. If I get monetized great, but in the end that’s not really my end goal. Don’t get me wrong, I would love for the videos that I make to make money, but it is not going to be my main source of income. It might be a weekly or biweekly posting of videos. Either way, knowing how long it could take to get monetized, is good information to have. Thanks again.

I agree with that. Keep them relatively short (5-10 minutes) until you get a following. Then you'll have a better idea of what your audience is interested in, at which time you can do longer videos about the topics where they want a deeper dive.

Im trying to figure out if it would be worth it to monetize.. we do bluegrass cover songs that would need to be licensed for approx $300 each. We have a 50k view video and a 137k view video and tend to get decent views rven in our less popular videos. You think there would be any profit?
@selfpublishingempire
@selfpublishingempire Жыл бұрын
@@backwoodsbluegrassbandNo probably not on the video alone. Your RPM (revenue per 1000 views) will probably be quite low due to the subject matter. Let's say it's $5 which is a high estimate. That means you'd need to get 60,000 views per video to break even... I think it's more likely you'll need double that or more... just something to think about... but then if you can get income through patreon etc it might be worth it

I found you and subscribed on the “Don’t Start a Side Hustle” video. I’ll offer constructive feedback in hopes of seeing your channel take off!! After that first video, I’ve found the other content I’ve seen less useful (until this video!)-but kept trying them, since I trusted you due to the high quality of the side hustle video. I’m also not a typical viewer (Ivy league business degree, top consulting firm resume, startup founder), and I enjoyed the side hustle video mostly just to see someone intelligent and educated articulate the truth about how to do well. I’ll add that the side hustle video’s *title* was probably a huge contributor to its high clicks. It’s _contrarian_ (vs the hundreds or thousands of side hustle videos out there), which is always enticing to an audience, and it’s on a topic many people are desperate to figure out (how to make $$$). I’d love to see you do more like that, because you have real expertise to share. I could imagine many “Don’t do…” video topics performing well if they are on topics many inexperienced people are currently talking nonsense about: “Don’t bet your savings on GameStop,” or “Don’t start trading options” (pleeease do this one!), or “Don’t put your savings in the bank” etc. You could alternatively support some of these trends but give a more sophisticated perspective in your video: “How to make and lose a fortune in Option trading” or “When GameStop makes sense and when it doesn’t” etc Finally, I find your videos too slow paced. That’s probably why views steadily decline along the video timeline. You might try cutting to different settings more often (you at a white board, or on a stool by a window, or outside companies you’re talking about). More enthusiasm and energy at times could help. I like how you include some stories! More is better, and you could deliver these with more enthusiasm or with props or cuts to on-site video or illustrations. For instance, Graham Stephan is smart to cut in headlines and graphs throughout his videos - keeps it interesting and fast paced. In summary, I wish you lots of success! I’ve typed enough already, but I have some other ideas for your channel (or for a collaboration) and would be happy to discuss if you’re interested. Let me know.

Thanks very much, terrific feedback and great ideas! And I really appreciate your support. I'm admittedly playing around a bit by trying different topics and different editing styles to see what resonates. For example, this video with my Q2 KZbin update is the first one where I hired an outside editor, so the pacing is faster and he used more pop-ups and some music. I'll be curious to see if that helps the watch time. I also agree that I should probably mix up the setting, too, instead of me always seated at a table. In terms of topics, at least so far I've gotten much better views on entrepreneurial topics than on finance and investing, but I'm not ready to "niche down" on one or the other out of concern it would get boring to me. My first 10ish videos are kind of crappy, and maybe I should pull them down, but I kind of like keeping them up... at least for now... to show the evolution. Kind of like watching a train-wreck in reverse! I'd love to chat some time and hear your ideas. I don't want to post my email address here in the chat, but you can find it on my KZbin channel under the About tab. Shoot me your info and we can connect. Much appreciated.

Good chat and good advice above. There's so much bs out there that authoritative debunks from a knowledgeable perspective can win I reckon. How about sighting higher eg the corruption of the IMF and World Bank, which seem pretty similar in origin and impact to the hussle bros scam, just at a larger spatio temporal scale! KZbin should have been the subject of a class action lawsuit. What they did to those of us that were monetized for years but did not have enough subscribers when they changed the rules is disgusting.
