For me, the devastation in Jack's eyes when he slammed the garage door just destroyed me. This movie is so well made. I agree, this made me feel things. Great reaction as always, thanks for sharing.

The emotions that Gaga had while singing I'll Never Love Again were extremely real. Gaga actually lost one of her best friends duo to cancer 1 hour before she was shooting that scene which is f*cking crazy (she explained the whole thing in an interview). Life really beats the movie sometimes...

Wow ty I didn’t know that That is so so sad. Then Gaga went on anyway to film movie. That is so freaking terrible that she Gaga went on anyway to film Wonder how she kept it together I know I couldn’t I know Bradly pulled her through amongst others I feel so awful. Ty
All the songs in the movie were performed live on set. Gaga was singing live, Bradley was singing live. And that's where true emotions came from. Bradley took singing and playing instruments lessons for a year before filming the movie. Also he trained to lower his voice to sound like this. And on top of that served highest lvl of acting. He was literally robbed of that Oscar win..

He was going against Rami Malek - was never gonna happen unfortunately. He’s always gone up against stiff competition - Daniel Day Lewis in Lincoln, Jared Leto in Dallas Buyers Club, and Eddie Redmayne in Theory of Everything. Tough calls. Terrific performance though. I’d say the biggest snuff came when this movie lost Best Picture to Green Book - sorry. Such a terrible choice. Good movie, but A Star is Born was better by miles in every aspect.

This Movie wrecked me for a week, even when I tried listening to the soundtrack I would start bawling to the final song when they spliced in Bradley so gut wrenching, great movie 😭😭👏👏
@roryvandegrift599211 ай бұрын
It’s 3 am and I’m bawling like a baby… all I have to say is damn Rez for talking to Jack like that. Whether Jack had problems or not, Ally was working through it with him. He was starting to feel good about himself. But that doesn’t mean he wasn’t still fragile . For an alcoholic/addict fresh out of rehab, that was the worst thing he could do..l would have loved to have a scene of Ally finding out what Rez said and a confrontation. All that aside, the acting by both Bradley and Gaga was amazing. I don’t understand how Bradley didn’t win awards for playing Jack. Everyone, even the small roles, were great. Sam Elliot, Andrew DiceClay, Anthony Ramos, Dave Chapelle, and though you really didn’t hear much, the guy who played Healey in Orange is The New Black, all of the,m brought something. Rez was someone I detested, but I guess that jeans yes a good actor because he was believable as a manipulative, opportunistic scumbag. Well I rambled on enough, sorry but I needed to vent so I could calm down from crying. That ending gets me every time.

I had always seen Bradley as "just" an actor, a decent one too but after watching this movie... even if he would've just acted the part of Jack would've been great but the fact that he actually did the singing n the guitar playing AND he also did a fantastic job directing it, so many great details that prove that, all that has made me respect him so much more. No wonder why he was upset he didn't win or was even nominated, i think, any oscars for this movie, he def deserved it. Lady Gaga is a phenomenal artist. Certain songs in the soundtrack absolutely break me, the story is great. Awesome reaction

This movie will always have a special place in my heart. The first time i ever watched it was in the movie theater with my mom, who´s a drug addict and an alcoholic. This was during one of our get togethers we had every other month with a supervisor present, and none of us had expected what it was about. I think this movie helped my mom see what she put us through, but most of all, it gave me something to relate to. And every song in this movie will always be special to me, because of how emotional they are, and how much i feel like i can relate to them all.

I watched this movie for the first time when I was in hospital recovering from pneumonia. I cried my eyes out, and re-watched it on a loop for a whole week. Each time I cried. One of the most emotional movies I’ve ever seen. I’ve watched all three versions that were made before Bradley Cooper did this version, and in my opinion it’s the best. The chemistry between him and Lady Gaga was off the scale.

This is the first time I saw this movie and I watched it with you , so thank you for watching it with me . All the songs are really personal to me so much that I was afraid to watch the movie. 6 and a half years ago I lost the love of my life in a very similar way, we were married 28 years together, 30 years, raised 4 children together, and that year when we were 50 years old ( he was nine days older than me) we became empty nesters. The plan was to grow old together and play with our grandchildren. Instead I found him dead , tried cpr to no avail. He was an amazing Chef we had spent the weekend cooking together and doing what married people do when they are still attracted to on another, and he sent me to the store to get desert, picked a movie for us to watch, and then I came home and my world stopped. I thank God that our last words to each other were, I love you, and that I was lucky enough to find my true soulmate and spend that much time together. But I am forever altered and completely lost without him, still. So , the song , I will always remember us this way and I will never love again are literally my life’s theme music ❤ thank you for crying with me , it meant a lot ❤

Great reaction man, this is two method actors at the pinnacle of performance. I agree Bradley had to be so convincing to be a music artist otherwise none of it would of worked. But on the flip side Gaga had to convince us that she hadn’t performed or sang on a big stage before. This movie every time you revisit it gets you every dam time too lol, liked and subbed

Of the four versions of this movie this one was my favorite by far. The second closest was the 1954 version with Judy Garland. All versions are slightly different with the leads being playing actors or signers. This version just had me believing in the characters, in their romance, ambitions, and struggles and genuine love for one another. It was moving and heartbreaking and just plain perfect. Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga we’re just perfection. Brady not only learned to sing and play he specifically studied how musicians work and play in stage vs when they aren’t so that he could make the performance believable. That he was the veteran musician and Gaga character was the up in comer. There isn’t enough good things I can say about this film. I’m just so glad that a story this good acted this well will hold strong for years to come. It’s been 4 years since this film it was released and it’s as good as it was the first time I saw it in 2018.

Ok my opinion Ty. I loved the very opening of movie where Bradly started singing and playing guitar plus the song itself WOW what a Rush!!! Amazing guitar playing when I seen this movie I had no clue both them have Gaga Bradly got some awesome talent in the music world I knew Gaga sang but the songs she sang in this movie was a whole other side of Gaga I heard her songs before but nothing like this I find myself watching this movie over and over. Top thing I did like was ending well sad yes. Hidden death Compared to car accident in Kris Kristofferson and Barbra Streisand movie the past movies I didn’t see I was excited to that this movie received an Award for it. They worked hard for it. In this movie there is a search for the cause of tinnitus and a cure going on, whilst the answer is there all along. It's Jackson Maine's alcoholism that is causing it. A major factor in Tinnitus and hearing loss is long term excessive alcohol consumption.

I think what most people miss about this movie, is the active role the music industry plays in these tragedies, (most of which we never even hear about). Ally’s manager comes off as a villain in the movie, but he is just a composite character representing basically everyone you will ever meet in the music business. Once upon a time there were grand prizes in this ruthless game, but those permanently disappeared once people stopped buying music. These days I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Not unless you are unusually strong and have your shit completely together - and have at the very least a plan B. Music is a healing force and a universal language, and I recommend everyone to at least try their hand at it, if they feel like it. The music business? Not so much.
