Tried Optimator, Salvtor, Cellebrator, Korbinian. This one is the best balanced, smooth and easiest to drink. They are all good.

I'm a fan of a good doppelbock I've had this one but I always prefer a Weihenstepaner Korbinian. I would suggest you try it as it is truly a beast of a dopplebock. Cheers!!

Have some on order from bh with the pd and franziskaner royal kegs, cant wait to try this ayinger as they are a cracking brewery. No frills no bs just qaulity brewing, tradition and loyalty to the trade. Great review

If you can find some over there try Modelo Negra it’s a dark Mexican beer that tastes a lot like this or a Chimay Blue

The germans make great beer and they know how to make good beers from the styles of beer that are not so appreciared like a lager. Also they have a lot of breweries and thanks to them a lot of styles were born and also a lot of other countryes witch were part of Germany once still have a brewing tradition. I also heard that their regional small breweries are almost all great.

I love German Weissbier, Weizenbocks and wheat Doppelbocks like the Schneider Tap 6, but I’ve just personally never got on with the Dunkel or regular Doppelbock. Something about a strong dark lager that doesn’t do it for me!

The Bier Hooligan I may give it a go. I visited Ayinger a few times in my time in Munich this summer and I love their beers. Augustiner round the corner from it too. As far as German (or any lagers go), I’ve not tasted better than Lowenbrau personally!

The Bier Hooligan I’ll note that down. I wanted to visit the Weihenstephan brewery in Freising even if it was just to see it and have a few drinks but just didn’t get round to it. Reasons to go back anyway!
