A pair of Doctor Who movies starring Peter Cushing (Dr. Who and the Daleks and Daleks - Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D.) that were released in the mid-1960s have recently been painstakingly remastered for a new 4K Ultra HD release. But with this release has also come new information about a proposed third movie. And it was certainly bizarre!
In the proposed third Doctor Who movie, two ... possibly three different incarnations of the Doctor find themselves battling against evil, giant, man-eating crabs, in a script that was adapted from a pulp, trashy paperback horror novel that had been very popular in school playgrounds across Great Britain.
Whatever the reason for this movie not being madd, it appears that a completed Doctor Who movie script exists that has never been produced. Your move, Big Finish ...
In this video, I'll explain how this script became uncovered, what the story involved, and will even attempt to illustrate how it might have looked!
