I just made it, I set my oven temp to 180deg c and the cake was everything 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 although I had put a bit more than half a cup of sugar but next time I will put less with an boozy almond drizzle 🤤

This turned out to be only 1” tall using an 8” springform pan so make it in a smaller pan if you want taller pieces. I used 3/4 cups sugar and it was still a bit too sweet. A wonderful dessert.

3/4 cup equals 6oz of sugar & 1/2 cups equals 4oz of sugar. You used more than what the recipe called for. So yeah it's sweeter.

180C/350F. for 30 minutes. There is another 4 ingredient Almond Cake recipe on the site with more detailed instructions. This one is just a 'short', they don't always give all the details. Haven't tried this one yet, but I have made a lot of almond muffins, cookies, etc. The added lemon zest should make this a yummy recipe though.

Bake the cake for 30 minutes, or until tender on top. Remove the cake from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes, before carefully invert onto a plate and sprinkling with powdered sugar.

From what I see, separate the egg yolks and beat together with the sugar, add the flour and lemon zest. Whip egg whites stiff and gradually add to mixture. Someone posted to bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. I am going to try it. Someone posted that 3/4 cup sugar was too sweet, so adjust amount.

I ruined the cake. Don’t make my mistake I whisked the almond flour with the egg yolks and sugar mixture instead of folding it and it became hard and lumpy
