The city of Reghin, in Transylvania (pretty close to this trail) has a long tradition of manufacturing musical instruments like violins, guitars etc. It's probably made there.

Congrats and thank you for having us along! Safe travels back home. I'll miss your posts. Please get tested for lyme disease when you get back. My uncle who lives in Romania got it from a tick :( It is no fun at all.

@@thebigweg there is, but very localized as the main spreader, deer population is very low comparing with US, but that will increase ...

It's a different subspecies than the deer ticks which are common in the US. The European one is Ixodes ricinus en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ixodes_ricinus

Congrats on finishing strong the Via Transilvanica! :) You're an inspiration for all of us that want to try it. By the way, can you tell us, roughly, how much money did you spend doing this hike? I'm thinking of trying it, but I'm not sure how much money (at minimum) do I need. Thanks!

@@drumetul_dacic I spent very little. Besides the 5 nights I spent in guest houses, my only expense was food. Maybe $10 per day on average maximum. Spending 90% of your nights camped out in the forest keeps expenses WAY down! Guest houses probably ranged from $20 to $45 per night. Hope that helps!
