Pre-DMC3: Virgil - 1 Dante - 0 DMC3: Virgil - 2 Dante - 1 DMC1: Virgil - 3 Dante - 3 DMC5: Virgil - 5 Dante - 5 Though technically, if you count Dante fighting V's familiars, it's actually: Virgil - 5 Dante - 8 And if you wanna go even further, Vergil said that if he beats Nero, he beats Dante, but sense he lost, it's actually: Virgil - 5 Dante - 9 And honestly... neither of these seem all that fair, so...yeah, those 2(well, "4", but you get my point) don't count. My beef with DMC5 is that Urizen broke rebellion with one punch befor he ate the fruit, but then Dante merger Rebellion and Sparda and awoke the Sin dt, so why wasn't Yamato destroyed? And and why didn't Yamato evolve? It's part of the whole SDT package.

Sparda died of natural causes after Vergil and Dante turned 7 a year later is when Mundus launched his attack against Sparda's family and of course the rest you know some speculate that's Sparta power was waning after his battle with Mundus and sealing the Temme Ne Gru

Well in the wiki I read it said he died. However no matter how much research I did I couldn't find out exactly how he died. It might've been from natural causes, but I'm not sure. So I said "disappeared" just in case.

Sparda is purposely a mystery but it’s been hinted at that he has died. The fact that anyone willing to go through the amount of hoops you have to to gain his power is proof as if he was alive only HE would be able to use Sparda and his abilities.
