One of my other favorite girl groups is Mamamoo. They are all iconic queens with amazing singing voices and Moonbyul is a really talented rapper. I would recommend HIP and AYA. Or one of their member’s Hwasa recently put out a song called “I Love My Body” its a bop.

I would say it is only K-Pop due to geography. Musically it is totally western. If you heard this on the radio you would just assume they are American. Loving the audio, but the attention deficit type video editing gives me a headache.

To be fair, I don't think I would. I could hear distinct, stark differences between what a Western pop band sounds like vs. this sort of sound, sonically-speaking. I WILL say, I HAD mistake K-Pop bands for Western pop bands before, so I do see your point. And haha, I get your last point as well.

Lol that's not necessarily what I was saying. I know of them on the radio, but know nothing about them culturally or otherwise. That's as far as my knowledge of them goes. I absolutely knew they spoke English lol I was more just being funny at how clear and articulate it was, it shocked me after all that boom bap. It's all jokes, not serious. :)

I'm 73 years old, and all I can do is compare (c)rap and hip-hop to four generations of talented singers and musicians.

Lol this is such a horrible take and I feel bad for anyone who subjects themselves to limiting amazing artists because of a genre they clearly don't understand. People once said Punk and Rock did damage to the planet, and was a catalyst for assault and drugs, but here we are. Not listening to their nonsense and praising the genre, as we should. Because good music is good music despite horrible opinions of it. Go outside of your comfort zone, and radio, open your ears, and that mind. Or don't. I don't care. All I can do is suggest reading up while you still have time on this planet. :) You're too old to have opinions like that.

But why are we comparing apples to oranges? I'm not trying to compare Michael Jackson to Korn. And by the way, Prince at one point finally embraced hip-hop despite not really understanding it, per his own admission. Again, you like what you like, which I'm not going to talk about even though many people think rock is just angst music and country is whiney farm music. Where would that get me? It has its good moments But being pedantic about a skill vs a talent (such as playing a guitar vs reading sheet music) is just silly and nonsensical. But to each his own!@@JohnWarner-lu8rq
