2020 - Prof had his first baby during Covid, he spent nights sitting in his yard armed trying to protect his home during the riots, and his record label stabbed him in the back, dropping him the day before his album Powderhorn Suites was to be released in June. Prof was slandered over some "Me Too" controversy that involved a DJ he had fired years before. He kept his powder dry, released his album on his label Stophouse Music Group in November, and it made it to 36 on Billboard Top 100. After the fun songs you're in the mood for, I recommend you listen to Snake Skin Leather (Live from the Gallery) which he released 3 weeks ago, for another side of Prof.

This was a great breakdown and education. Thank you for that. The more I learn of this dude, the more of a fan I become. I appreciate that. And we 100% have more PROF we're doing. We're not stopping. He's a top 5 of the channel for me.

"Meet me in ground." Love that. My first listen interpretation is an acknowledgement that we have to die to things, and there is comfort in talking to others that get that, who have also suffered. And I love him looking at the Ocean at the end. To me it's recognition that there is something bigger, beyond myself, that I'm just a small part of.

I just discovered Prof like 3 or 4 days ago thanks to the song he did with Ren, Pain Salesmen. Great song. Also.... his "About the artist" photo on Spotify with the buffalo... he reminds me of the brother from Napoleon Dynamite in that Pic. 😂😂😂 He's kinda fire though for what I've heard so far.

This is one of my favorite Prof songs. Feels he dropped the persona and went heartfelt. Great reaction.

I agree, was just him being him and putting it out there. Same how I felt with Flower Boy. I'm glad you liked the reaction. :)

6:10 Prof said in an interview right before he filmed this scene that he got a phone call right and found out that his dog had died back home. so this face and this expression is not acting.

Love this reaction, thank you! It's great to find a reactor who really gets Prof. Glad you're doing more! Also, I have had panic disorder for years and it's no fun, but you are spot on when you say the only way to deal with it is acceptance. Fighting a panic attack is the worse thing you can do. It's the resistance that causes the pain. Advice for life!

I can keep going if there's breaks between the bad things to take a breath. Past month has been...rough. Thanks for cheering me up during this time. (I confess I tend to avoid dealing with the causes of the anxiety, but sometimes other things come along before I can.) Pack A Lunch next? That's proper fun.
@TheBlackSpeedАй бұрын
I got you, sorry it's been rough but here to help as I can! It's hard, but not impossible. I think we're going to do Bar Breaker next finally, but we have more of the fun ones coming and then we'll go back in the "sad boy" catalogue haha.

I greatly enjoy Prof's "fun" songs; but this is the "best" Prof for me. Whichever version he brings; it's always a good creation. I hope to catch one of his live performances one day.

Prof was one of the nicest surprises I’ve had over the past year or so. Every time he pops up on a playlist, I feel just a little bit more. I feel myself a little bit more. I feel gravity a little bit more. I feel life a little bit more.

Firstly, stop knowing what I need to hear and when I need to hear it. It’s creepy 😉 Secondarily, I love this one, but yes not for good times so much. I do listen to it a lot though. I think I’m telling on myself. I was an anxiety attack about anxiety attacks person for a long time. Still not perfect about it, but I find that saying what I’m feeling out loud helps me a ton when journaling isn’t doing the trick. Thank you! I truly did need to hear this today.

Had this song on repeat until I found Ren, now it’s going to be stuck again lol. It’s an odd request for a reaction but check out Prof on The Honeydew Podcast with Ryan Sickler ( amazing comedian ) . When you hear Prof talk about the stuff he’s been through but in a funny way it’s very eye opening. Example- His dad burnt down the house he grew up in.

Let me put this out there before I get raped in the comments.... I like Prof and I'm not trying to be negative and I realize the majority of artists are so auto tuned anyone could sound good, and as far as I know Prof doesn't auto tune, but when Prof gets into his falsetto does it seem like he is either flat or sharp just a little bit.
@AmandaMMMBOPhansonАй бұрын
At times- for sure. But I’ve heard him live and he sounds just the same as he does here… and that’s more than good enough in my book 🤘🏽💜🤘🏽

@danrandall3772Ай бұрын
@@meganoshaughnessy5548 okay so it's not just me..... And I agree with you.... I've grown so accustomed to fake vocals I seem to focus in way to much on the notes that are just a little bit sharp or flat, instead of just enjoying the music. Went to state for chorus a very long time ago and if we were off just a little we had to stop and start again..... This behavior seems to have been burned into sub conscious lol
