Hey blissbean, about distractions & attention management there's more it than just deleting distracting apps, but it's about Changing your relationship with the apps and your reactive behaviours if you can do listen to Maura Neville thomas' 3 books, first one : attention management, second book: from to do to done pr third : personal productivity secrets and let us know what you think about it. - secondly, can you check your audible book plan and organize your life's foreword? I'm listening to it and the foreword is from Cassandra aarson so i almost got confused if the book is from her or you or both and on cover it says it's from you so do check and clarify what's up with that.

So glad I‘m not the only one for whom the „just get rid of distractions“ thing doesn’t work. When I deleted almost everything from my phone, I started checking my bank app multiple times a day, which I had NEVER done before 😅

I love your videoooos, I started watching them like 1 or 2 years ago, I was frustrated because I couldn't understand english language, so I listen to all your videos, and I remember one day I was lying in my bed and suddenly, I realized I understood everything you were saying, it was magical, 2 years later I'm here watching this new video while I'm working on my english job

Production quality, as per usual, is impeccable. Every time I get into a slump where I feel like I'm wasting time, you always bring up time tracking and it's usually such a big help! (if i would just stop forgetting it, that'd be great). I definitely am not consistent with it long term, but it's so helpful for a few months with getting out of a mental rut with wasting time/ feeling like I'm wasting time. Anyways, this certainly is my sign to get back to it again. Also, just overall this video is full of so many good tips. I really wish the algorithm would get it's shit together and stop killing your channel. It's silly that they "punish" long term breaks from the platform.

i'm really bad with procrastination, i still haven't managed to beat it. but one thing that does help a lot is actually resting! setting the time to sit down and watch tv or do a hobbie or whatever (and not punishing myself if i didn't get to do whatever i needed to do). i've seen a few youtubers say things like oh schedule something fun for after you're done with your tasks or otherwise you're not allowed to do it, it feels so toxic and counterproductive :( would love an updated video on time tracking!! you've always made me wanna try, but it's always felt so overwhelming. also sidenote but i don't think you're failing at youtube, but youtube is failing you. someone already commented that it's terrible the algorithm punishes long breaks from its platform, and i totally agree with them. your content quality is absolutely amazing and you give the most useful tips, and you're helping so many of us. sending you big love 💕

Oh my goodness, perfect timing! This weekend for me is free since I don‘t have to go to my mum to babysit my brother and I really want to get quite some work done without thinking about anything else. I should really consider doing time-tracking and planning out my days properly at this point since my training at language school demands A LOT. Thank you for this video! 💛

How do you know how much time to block for a task? Sometimes I try to do things like that but I always set myself unrealistic goals. And another problem I struggle with is just avoiding my calendar, so I do not plan at all. I‘d be happy to get some advice!
@bpsara8 ай бұрын
First of all, remember that there are more ways to be productive/deal with procrastination. So be kind to yourself if some of the tips I anyone gives don’t fit you. If you haven’t done that task before or haven’t tracked how long it takes, start with an hour or two, or go with what you think it will take. Be super generous! If you can’t finish it in that time, block more time either later in the day (I like to have a Misc. block for this) or the next day/week/etc. You can also leave “empty” time in between blocks to use how you need. If you realize a certain goal is too unrealistic, make it less demanding next time, and try again with a smaller goal for the next day/etc. As for avoiding the calendar, try and find why you avoid it and change it to something that works for you. Do you need to set up notifications for starting/ending tasks? Are you better with analog planning (drawing it on a notebook or using a physical calendar/planner)? Do you need to place it somewhere you’ll be able to see no matter what? You can also group checking the calendar with an activity you already have, like during/after breakfast, or when you first pick up the phone in the morning, after brushing teeth, etc etc. Elizabeth Filips has some videos on more neurodivergent-focused versions for this, too (but they can work for anyone)

This is mostly great and super useful, but a time tracker that requires me to manually click on tasks whenever I change states is an immediate loser for me. I just will not remember. I'm looking for a good one.

Please suggest any good app for android for time tracking. I used toggl but it is overwhelming. Also suggest some techniques to stick to this habit. Most of the time when I was doing timetracking I would forget to open the app and start time tracking and also forget to stop the timer.
