Devon is the best. If you go to Bidfood or other places where you can bulk buy that food businesses use they are also open to the public. A 12 pk carton of wraps, larger size wraps has 12 per pack in them. It would be so much cheaper but you need the freezer space & to go to another shop which is not the most convenient when you have so much shopping to do. Do you do flybuys or WW rewards? Do you have a vegie garden?

Interesting differences between USA and Australia. Special, pertaining to food, would be either Sale or Clearance, depending on store and location in USA. Those pre-cooked roast chickens from the store would be called “Rotisserie Chickens”. I’ll take your word on the Lemingtons (?). Milo is hot chocolate powder?

Aussie to US translations: 3 liter milk to 1 gallon I believe a gallon is a little bigger. Ice blocks = popsicles.mince = hamburger? Devon = petite bologna. Twiggy sticks = salami or beef sticks. 2 minute noodle = cup o’ noodles. Wraps = flour tortillas. Clear lemonade? Cordials = juice or punch concentrate. Creamed rice = rice pudding. Love the different flavor Mayo. Is the bottled tomato sauce what we call catsup or ketchup.laming-ton fingers = missing out. Corn thins = rice cakes? Hundreds and thousands unknown. Milo unknown. Cotton buds = cotton swabs.
@TheBonellFamily3 жыл бұрын
yes mince is hamburger/ground beef, our tomato sauce is your ketchup - your tomato sause is our pasta sauce, hundreds and thousands are cake 'sprinkles', milo is a malt chocolate powder you add to milk and drink either hot or cold, corn thins are rice cakes ;-) and yes our lemonade is clear (it's softdrink)

So it’s kinda a weird thought, but when y’all have Christmas during the summer, are the movies different? Like all our Christmas movies and shows are all snowy and winter themed. How do y’all decorate for Christmas? We have snowflakes and snowmen and snow globes, and Santa’s all dressed warm… I’m from hot south Texas so it’s normally still hot here, we just pretend like it’s winter though. 😂
@aliwaugh50333 жыл бұрын
We do like you do in Texas. Santa is dressed warm and we get all the American movies. We have many Aussie traditions though - like many families have cold meats and salads for Christmas lunch, and we’ve recreated many Christmas carols (Aussie Jingle Bells, Aussie 12 days of Christmas). Our Christmas Day is spent eating on the deck with family and swimming in the pool.
