I really like the pace and construction of these cocktails. Good to see how they are made step-by-step without being too rushed.

Your recipe for Between the Sheets is quite different than what I'm familiar with. The recipe I know is equal parts cognac, rum (light or dark), and Cointreau (or triple sec), with a dash of lemon juice. Looking around on Difford's Guide, it looks like your recipe is indeed a variation (Between the Sheets #2), which I've never seen before. You learn something new everyday!

Love this channel. Pisco sour was invented in Peru with Peruvian pisco. In fact, Chilean pisco tastes different but I am OK with both countries having the same name. It would be fantastic if you have a video for different Pisco cocktails, some classics are El Capitan, Pisco Punch, Pisco Point and Chilcano.

Absolutely love your videos, they're my go-to when I want to try something new! May I request some themed videos for future? 'Grandfather Cocktails' (the earliest cocktails), and Prohibition-era cocktails (the kind you'd see being made out of bathtub gin in a speakeasy, rather than something a Parisian lady of the night might drink) are a couple that come to mind. Love your work!

Vid suggestion: summer cocktails, or punches, sangrias, etc. Question: any decently priced cognacs that you guys recommend for basic stuff like a Sidecar?
@JacStance8 жыл бұрын
+William Liu I would say it's best to use brandy in a sidecar. It's hard to find a decently priced cognac but fairly easy to find a cheap brandy that works well in cocktails. This is entirely up to you, of course, but no matter what you're going to be paying extra for that bottle to say cognac, you're better off trying to find a brandy of similar quality and save a couple bucks, especially since even less-than-stellar brandies can make pretty good sidecars most of the time.
@xman6liu8 жыл бұрын
+Jac the Sipper Thanks for the suggestion! any in particular you recommend?

William Liu My go-to brandy for cocktails is usually Korbel. Only about $10-$15 usually but is of a higher quality than other brandies in that price range.

Hey quick question, for you or anyone that can help (if you make a video on it, it would be great! :D) *How would you go about using coffee for cocktails?* Unfortunately I do not have an espresso machine at home nor can afford bartender's cocktail coffee (such as little drippa) for when I do cocktail Parties at home. Would Cold Brew Coffee do the job? Or what alternatives are there and how is each alternative good? Thanks to anyone that can assist me! :D

I find it difficult to believe how many people subscribe & comment on this guys videos. While he is a very smooth bartender, his verbal delivery is mostly mumbling, talking in his mouth without any projection or enunciation. For me he mostly inaudible I’ve watched many of his videos thinking that by exposure I will understand what he says better. That’s not happening. I’m taping out of his videos.

He's using a Martell Cordon Blue Cognac as cocktail base right? That's a fucking $200 a bottle cognac. Mad respect but I cringe everytime I see that blue labeled cognac from Martell. It's a fucking luxury. It was love at first sight when I first tried it. It's too aromatic and sweet. The burn goes off immediately and all those sweet and fragrant notes lingers in my taste buds and throat.
