Always amazes me when someone has so many great trees. They must have SO MANY hours into all of those, it blows my mind!

Ugh...what a cliff hanger 😄 I really started getting excited to see the root bridge at the end. Now I feel I can't wait for part four. Always such a pleasure to see your videos Nigel. Connor has so much to share. This is such a privilege for us.

There's some really great information here like different types of planting slabs for different trees that you don't normally hear. I've learnt a lot from a simple bench tour. Thanks Connor and Nigel.

This tour was really interesting! Thanks Connor, the tips on your conifer pruning was great, as I'm still a bit lost with mine. Awesome collection of trees in all, love 'em ❤️

You have some really amazing bonsai trees. I so wish I had a green thumb like that. The foliage to me is what is most impressive. I haven't been able to get a bonsai to produce that well.

Ponderosa Pine are popular out here in Colorado and the Southwest, which naturally have fairly long needles, but keeping them in smaller pots and letting them get pretty rootbound allows them to be reduced down to 3" and below. Might be something to try with the Red Pine.

Red pine are one of my favorite species I haven’t found the secret sauce so to speak working with them but their growth habits makes them a great candidate for bonsai

How many trees does Conner have to bring in for the winter! I can't imagine how much space he has to make for all of them.
@TeamFishweights3 жыл бұрын
Cool collection dude!
@ellejayn3 жыл бұрын
Yes I'm also curious... Do any of them just stay out on the bench to endure the natural winter without protection? Surely some of the native species can take it?
@connor40693 жыл бұрын
So the back bench is pretty much all tropicals - they all come in for the winter. The rest stay outside either under the benches or in the hot frame :)

For Connor: how do you plan to develop your bamboo? I recently dug up a struggling clump forming one from my garden, put it into a large bonsai bowl and it is flourishing. Where might I go from here?

Hey Nigel, i was thinking about making a draceana forest bonsai, just like your yucca forest bonsai. Do you think it would work out( I'm a beginner so i'm still trying to figure it out)
