I had two trees dying after bringing them indoors. One hot day at the south facing windows without watering plus the stress from going indoors was enough to kill them. Something I definitely underestimated. Strange when tropical trees do so well outdoors until start of November and then die when you bring them inside to save them from the cold.

Nigel I think your Ta Prohm temple root over rock might be the first contender to really challenge that famous "root over woman statue" bonsai someone from your Bonsai club has! Some roots just grip the temple perfectly!

What's the benefit of taking off old leaves? I always leave them on because I figured they might just add additional energy to the tree or worst case fall off on their own. 12:20

i have 2 baobabs, and they have lost all leaves except one. move them to the basement? or move them to the top of the plant rack out of most sunlight? appreciate your thoughts.

Howdy Nigel. Have you ever considered cultivating moss? Seems like it might be nice at replanting time or show preparations to have a ready supply and variety of moss. Continue to enjoy.
