Nigel, if you ever decide to sell merchandise, you should definitely make T-shirts with the phrase "Here I go..." on them ;) Been following you for years!

The bottom of the pot has no seperation on the feet that doesn’t help with drainage either Nigel. Nice series on your little trees.

Loved this mini-series on the the mini bonsai! What a fantastic collection of pots you have for these trees - perfect colours that complement, and an interesting variety of styles. 👌

I've found the same issue with my mini bonsai of having the drainage hole clogged with roots. I've basically eliminated that issue by drilling out a bigger hole.

You have so much patience with your tiny trees. I have given up using small pots as they dried out so fast and I lost a few due to sun damage. I now tend to stick to larger pots. The Jades I have are quite thick and chunky, so easy to cut a large branch off and easily rooted to get a decent looking plant.

That looks like a cup for green tea that someone has drilled holes in. I`ve been buying similar cups and soup bowls from a local second-hand store and drilling holes in them. They are often perfect for small bonsai and cacti/succulents.

Love watching you delicately care for these tiny bonsai. I wanted to share that first little tree is a Crassula Tetragona succulent sometimes called mini pines, but your right I think they are part of the jade family 😊

Love the miniature bonsai. If it’s not too much trouble, why do you cut off the older, bigger, lower branches? Is it just for appearance or is there some thing that helps the plant to develop sickness?
@FreedomAnderson Жыл бұрын
It allows the tree to focus on new growth.

For some reason it is impossible to get the lilliput variety here in the UK. Frustrating for a jade lover like my self
