Thanks for the birthday mention Nigel! Was definitely a wonderful surprise from my girlfriend as she knows how much inspiration and knowledge I get from your videos. Keep up with the great job you always do! Cheers mate

Hello Nigel, it looks like Joan has a keen interest in the tree, she might become a Bonsai master 😂 I subscribed to Zak chan. Merry Christmas & happy new year to you and your family, + the feathery & the furry ones. Much ❤From BC.

Bravo on the transformation of these 2 young Pomegranates into excellent pre-bonsai. Can’t wait to follow them.

Happy Almost New Year to All in The Bonsai Zone!!! Would applying rubber cement to the cuts on the 2nd pomegranate help reduce the type of scaring you pointed out on the first tree? Thank you.

That 1st tree, personally I think it would make a beautiful Shohin sized bonsai. Very pretty as it is right now

Pom #2 has some cool coarse moss on it. Tree looks good after the pruning. Spring growth ahead.

That is an extremely unusual cat. You've had him out there for a week and you still have plants on the bench.

If you ever want to grow new pom's those whips you got from the first tree strike very easily as cuttings. I had over 30 whips from one tree one year and I tried to do a fused tree with them back when I had space to grow trees. Unfortunately, I had to move before they had gotten very far and had to lose my collection but they had started to fuse quite well after only a couple years. If I ever get a place with lots of space to grow I might try it again...

With all these scars and deadwood, they almost like old appletrees. Gives some challenge for sure but the flowers are quite beautiful.

The smaller one looked exactly like some of the mature White Poplars Ive seen in Oregon and in pictures! They have the leaves of maples except with a dense layer of white trichomes on the underside.

Is Joan spayed? If not the Stratford Humane Society has a spay and neuter clinic that both kitties could go to so they don't have any more kitties. Great video as always Nigel!
