congratulations for the gifts Nigel... they will certainly be part of your beautiful Bonsai scenery... I see that all the plants are green and that soon everything will be white with the snow and certainly very cold too... but the important thing is that you always have fun with everything...

So glad to hear how much you enjoyed the Toronto shop. Delightful to have others remember you with items that you can use in your bonsai adventures. Love the progress that you have made on the plant room. Well done! Thanks for your videos.

Nice Fu dog tile. I have heard they are a mix between a lion and a pug. I have a soft spot for pugs.

Nice gifts and updates! Look up Trusscore PVC wall panels.. great for garages and even used in the medicinal plant industry.. no mold issues. 🐦💙

Howdy Sir Nigel! I just wanted to suggest running electrical in the walls before covering them up. It's much more expensive to add it after drywall is installed.

A penjing/landscape/forest in the DragonArts pot would take full advantage of the perceived scale set by the floating island and waterfalls

congrats on the Calliandra tweedii, Nigel. I can't wait s see it develop in your care. If I were you I'd look for brazilian bonsai artists and trees, we have quite a few species of Calliandra and the work that's done here is quite beautiful.

Mice in the plant room reminds me - what happened to mamma cat and those cute kittens? One of those residing in the plant room would help. It also occures to me how active the whole Canadian Bonsai movement is, considering this and your coverage of the show.

Interesting and helpful information that white reflects more light than foil. What about mirrors? I’ve seen mirror tiles you can buy for cheap online. I have a few, but could imagine experimenting with a whole wall if I had the opportunity. I’ve always wanted a mirror wall and it would make your collection look even bigger! Get them on two walls and you’d have an infinite plant room. 😁
@mattiecreates2 жыл бұрын
I dont think a mirror wall would be good lol you would get dizzy and disorientated. all white would be the way to go it is the colours of all the spectrums and plants like full spectrum. i dunno just my 2 cents haha . happy growing

White wall would reflect and difuse light, giving more even distributon of light now matter where sun is. Foil and mirrors wouldn’t.
