What a wonderful show tree Nigel. I’ve known it for many years now. I agree it looks the best it can look, which is pretty damned good.

Wow! This is an amazing tree. One of my very first bonsai was a Serissa tree over 15 years ago. Very refreshing to see such an amazing specimen in this video!

Your Serissa looks wonderfull, for shure it’s show worthy tree 💚, and this moss work is fantastic! One thing that is bothering me is tat your stones are equally spaced, that looks artifitial. Try taking out closest to viewer and furthest, or just one on the far left, it shoud help. I keep my fingers crossed for the show ^^

Love the Serrisa....Any one of your mini bonsai would work as an accent plant...❤❤

Hi Nigel it’s a big job prepping the serisa and tree look fantastic with thousand flowers ❤❤❤

An extremely small scale succulent would be thematically correct, coming in a variety of shapes, colors, and textures. You really changed the scale dramatically with the zebra figurine! Great job breaking up the moss carpet. Another scale jump! The tree continues to be amazing. I still think my absolutely favorite view is looking up through the structural branches from below. Any chance you could make THAT the front?😅

I'm not getting into that species... We call it snow rose.... Beautiful display, beautiful tree, brilliant work... One day I'll be able to display, so until that day comes I'll keep learning and growing🎉🎉🎉

It might be too imperfect or messy, but I quite like the white flowers on the ground

I love this tree. I am amazed how much it has evolved from when it was much much smaller! It looks stunning. I like the simplicity of the zebra by itself on the accent, but that is just my opinion haha.

Tough choice for the accent plant in the moss. What about one of your mini's in the moss? Just a thought.

That is a lot of work that went into this landscape. Looking good. This tree is one of my favorites. When you write your book. This tree has to be the front cover of the book. Will you be selling autographed copies?

Hi Nigel! I remember there being a thorough explanation on how to successfully overwinter the tropicals. What was the safe temperature and watering necessities?
@TheBonsaiZoneАй бұрын
It varies a lot from tree to tree, each tree has certain requirements, from very sensitive to cold to very hardy. Sometimes I've learned the hard way!
@dkstott29Ай бұрын
We had 39 degrees F here a few days...I've started the Bonsai shuffle...when the sun comes out and it warms up above 50F, tropicals go outside....they go back indoors in the evening..
@ranjantyАй бұрын
@dkstott29. I'm a beginner with plants and gardening. I was just wondering if the changing of temps everyday by going outside and inside can actually be detrimental for plants?
@AkshayaDeepSinghalАй бұрын
you can totally add a little red soil to the accent plant (like a small patch). and a tiny rock besides the zebra.
@TheBonsaiZoneАй бұрын
Thanks, I have lots of ideas to try with this landscape!!!

@robertsorrentino8293Ай бұрын
Serissas seem to be very temperamental. Do you worry about changing the location for the show and how the difference in temperature, lighting, showroom environment can affect the serissa?
@TheBonsaiZoneАй бұрын
It doesn't seem to affect the tree, even being inside for three days in low light. Generally I've never had a problem with leaf drop!!

I don’t think this tree needs the zebra - it only detracts from its perfection. On the accent it looks ok, but not on the actual tree - just my opinion.
