Catalina RIGHT?! just finished the book yesterday and couldn't help but wonder just how Brian forgave him, what conversation they had, what convinced him to meet up. I really wanted to see that AND THEN end the book with Jude. Glad to know I wasn't the only one who thought this

I really loved both Noah and Jude in their timelines, only I thought maybe they could've been a bit older??? And I didn't like Oscar, he was just a cliche (sorry Oscore). But Noah's way of thinking and his relationship with Brian was just so good and filled with metaphors and colours. I loved Grandma omg she's the best hahaha

Noah is my cHILD. -spoilers below- And I do agree that the end was a bit rushed. I also felt as if the last bit where Noah went to see Brian in the forest it should have been from his point of view, not Jude's. But that's just me since Noah and Brian are my otp. Yes, I also agree that some things were pretty predictable.

andou i just finished this, but although i need more noah brian in my life, noahs vision was in the past, so it would be weird to bring ir to the present right at the end, and i also kinda feel like not really saying what happened between them at the end makes it more personal for both of them and makes it so that everyone can fill it in however they want to and i love that

my only gripe is that I wanted to read the part where Brian came back from Noah's POV. It left me....I bit hallow just hearing Jude talk about it, I was looking forward to seeing them reconcile, but we just saw the aftermath of their reconciliation. It would be like if, instead of getting that scene in the forest where they apologized to each other, we just swapped to the dad's POV and we saw them running together from his POV. But still, I loved the book, a definite favourite.

I personally loved the writing style and Noah's chapters were my favorite, mostly because I felt that he's an artist through them. His creative inputs made the book richer! Also I've had some issues with how neat everything was tuck in, but then I'm happy, that nothing tragic happened in the end as well. It was a possibility.

I finished reading this book earlier this week and absolutely loved it. I actually ended up pulling an all-nighter on Tuesday night because I didn't want to put it down and I finished it in time to go to bed as the sun was starting to rise over the horizon (kind of a fitting way to end this book if I do say so myself). I agree about Noah's chapters versus Jude's chapters. I thought the writing was much more abstract and poetic in Noah's and it fit really well for him because he was the painter/sketcher. Whereas Jude's was more solid as the chisel chipped away each layer that she had built around herself since the tragedy (you see what I did there :P). And all though the loose ends at the end were tied a bit too neatly, I think it worked for this novel. Though, I'd love an e-novella of what transpired in the woods when Brian agreed to meet Noah at the end. I feel like there might have been more tension before that happy-go-lucky ending. Gah, I just loved this book and Noah & Brian were the cutest.

+Kinder Alrashdi I was thinking this too (bc oh my goodness my love for Noah knows no end) but I think having Jude tell the later years made sense so we'd be distanced from Noah when he was (spoiler): distanced from everything else/'in that little hatch inside his body'. It wouldn't've really made sense bc he wouldn't've been talking about the stuff that was all shoved deep down, while Jude at that time was just starting to deal with it I could've totally gone for a last Noah chapter at age 16 though to end off the book aggghhhh
@kinderalrashdi8092

+Marianna Ciccia yeah i agree with you, it made more sense in jude's POV but I WANTED THE LAST CHAPTER TO BE NOAH'S POV at age 16 so BADLY, i like jude but to me I could relate to how noah felt much more than and Noah's POV were WAY more interesting
@charliehopkins3776

everyone is saying they prefer noah, and i get it, but personally i realted to Jude as a teenage girl. I feel like im more of a predictable romantic than anything. I really enjoyed Noahs chapters but felt he was rather mean to Jude who had a lot of issues, and even when she reached out to him, he turned away. I felt that really ruined Noah for me. Where as Jude was more upfront with her mistakes and only really was mean in short bursts and admitted to her mistakes more than Noah. I dont know, it could've just been because of Oscars amazing love lines. But either way, I liked how Judes chapters were longer.

I just finished the book and I am a little saddened how my life parallels Noah's. When I was younger I used to draw and paint, then my life hit a pit and I didn't start getting back into art until earlier this year. I am the same age (16), and bisexual (although he's gay). But the most simile part is the suicide, I'm glad I read it now and how it helped me find my self. I may get back into painting (I only sketch and do ceramics right now).

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH! And I agree I thought Noah's chapters were definitely more exciting and more interesting! I also like the style of the writing in his chapters significantly more. I wish there were chapters in Noah's PoV when he was 16 just because I just really wanted to know what what going through his head at that point as well. And I absolutely loved the amount of metaphors in the book despite what others think. I think it gave a more detailed perspective of what the characters were feeling - especially on Noah's part.

So far Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe and I'll give you the sun are my favorites that I've read this year. I really wish there was more diversity in YA. Any recommendations of books similar to these two? Especially if the have diversity like Aristotle and Dante (not only the LGBT+ but Aristotle's family and culture was so much better that the typical YA. The parents weren't cast off and he wasnt a typical white washed or white character. (Im white and im tired of not having diversity in YA!!! ) )

I also enjoyed noah's parts more than jude's, i almost feel like their mother for saying this haha but, Noah is my baby and i just wanna protect him from everything cause he is a precious little flower gosh i just loved his character so so much. Jude on the other hand i liked her but not as much as noah i think what made her character like able or tolerable was her relationships with grandma sweetwine, guillermo and oscar (or oscore). Brian and Noah can i just, when they finally got together i was SO FREAKING HAPPY and i was smiling like an idiot the whole time i read it ugh i can't even, i don't even know what to say they're just so

Also, Sophia, I finished Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock. The book connected so much with me. I definitely think you should give it a read, it's just so real and heartbreaking. I agree the ending was a bit rushed and I would have loved to get a POV of Noah when Brian went to meet him in the forest, but because Noah’s POV was told from the past the whole story, it would have been weird for it to be switched to his perspective but in the present because that’s not what it had been the entire book. only if the last chapter was from Noah’s Pov. I wanna know, how his world changed after brian left, his mom died and he got rejected from his dream school. And how he became this new person as jude describes, and all the emotions he felt, it was a bummer that we didn’t get any of it, it was just jude describing his feelings or how he “changed”. Anyways loved the writing style.

I did a book review of this on my channel. I didn't really care for it that much but it was ok. Also I don't think the tragedy was what pulled them apart at all. Noah and Jude read a little flat to me but I liked Noah much more than Jude.

Girl, I literally cringed so hard when Noah shouted that. I literally stopped reading for a minute to process it in my head...

I wasn't as ecstatic about this book as most people were. To be honest, the book really bored me. Jude was such a boring character and I really didn't care about her love story with that typical 'motorcycle bad boy but tender heart' guy and the story line just dragged on and on and nothing even happened? I was waiting for this huge reveal and while the last chapters are a bit more exciting and fast-paced, it still was a huge disappointment. Noah was okay, I enjoyed his chapter more than Jude's, but I wasn't blown away by his story either. I just kept waiting for something interesting to happen, but it never came and when I was finally done with it I was glad I could put it away and move on with another book :/

although the plot was predictable, I was so focused on the rest of the story that I didn't even see it coming. Wish that the last chapter was in Noah's pov

vicki love me too, i think it's because we loved Oscar more than brian, or her acceptane of doing wrong.

I read this when It first came out (pun intended lol) and I was 13, and didn’t really care for it. I was extremely uncomfortable with the age gap between Jude and Oscar and the ending soured the entire book for me. I totally agree about the beautiful writing, though!
