FYI USPS the most you can give for a card is $25 unless you have been doing this thought the year then it can go higher

I use the "bound printed matter" a lot as well. I sold well over 1000 items FBM and had PERFECT metrics however they told me over and over they were not promoting anyone from trial to SFP to get the PRIME badge. This is really annoying since I worked so hard for it but now I went back to my own shipping templates where I'm able to lower the price of items and charge shipping separately which has worked out very well. The lower prices have increased sales especially during this time of not being able to send into FBA.

@@TheBookFlipper Hey Caleb, I did charge shipping for a bit (lowering prices of items so they are cheaper) but found that I got more sales (even without PRIME badge) selling FBM with FREE shipping. I switched all of my FBM inventory back to the SFP Trial in the hopes that as I continue to ship more and more I will eventually graduate to get the PRIME badge on my listings. However, the increased sales by offering FREE shipping (and of course incorporating the price into the listing(s)) trumps the lower price with charged shipping so I have to go with what will bring me the most profit for my business. I shipped well over 500 FBM last week alone and will continue to sell like there is no tomorrow. I don't subscribe to some people's belief that people are not "buying" right now and the opportunities are not there or "limited" at this time. Opportunity is only limited by your own desire, hustle, and willingness to work. This is relayed by you and your team over and over by the work you do and success you continue to have so congratulations on that.

Caleb, I notice Accelerlist doesn't attempt to calculate outbound shipping. Is there a setting to turn on that i'm missing? what if from when you scan books to when listed the price drops? Now your shipping cost is going to turn the book into a loss. Post COVID-19, if sourced at a sale and you get home and condition and go into Accelerlist list it you might run into that especially if you are looking to pick up 151+ escore that's too low for FBA but would get you that $1.50 MF. What would you be doing? Rescanning with Scoutiq before listing .. again? ignore and if it's a loss, it's a loss? Stop and Guesstimate/Actually the weight for a weight/Profit ratio of some sort based on Media rates? ... I don't understand why neither IL or AL can't do the same that you are in calculating profits for books. they already pull the items weight from the API right? what gives? ... right now i have to rescan all the stacks with Scoutiq before listing with Accelerlist and trusting their wrong profit data.

Im a bit confused and still fairly new to this. When we are out sourcing books, are both the default (FBA) scoutiq triggers AND the mf trigger that you set up in your video, will activate when we are sourcing? I see that scoutiq has the option to select either or, but how do you determine a book is mf when you are using the fba default scoutiq trigger? In my head, I am thinking that you scan the whole book section using the default scoutiq for fba AND THEN scan again with the mf trigger to get accurate acceptance alerts for mf? can you please explain

Bro fba trigger should only be used if you’re shipping the books to them to sell. MF is if you’re going to ship them yourself. You choose which way youre gonna sell them and just scan from there.Don’t over think it.

I notice a lot of people do $3.99 shipping for books because that’s the shipping credit Amazon gives for books, but if you’re shipping a normal sized book it usually only costs between $2.80 and $3.33 media mail, so does Amazon reimburse the buyer for the remainder of the shipping cost that wasn’t used? Nope - Amazon charges the full amount and gives it to you as the seller. They sort books by "landed" price, which includes the price + shipping, so it just depends on how you want it to show up for buyers.

The one thing about Merchant is you better plan on listing, and selling lots of books so your metrics don't get screwed by USPS. Media Mail takes longer to get scanned in, and sometimes never does. How does Amazon, and the customer know you actually shipped? I been to several Post Offices, and it's always the same shit. USPS employees HATE scanning items in. When you do Media Mail... your account is literally in the hands of USPS. That is truly scary.

It's definitely important to list a bunch to allow for the inevitable mis-steps. Same with FBA as well, since our business is in the hands of Amazon as well as the USPS, UPS, or FedEx with inbound and outbound shipments.

With help from your videos I’m enjoying selling books MF on Amazon. I notice some CDs that I scan give me a “sell” option. Can I list them as well or do I have to become “ungated” to add those to my inventory? Many give me an unlock request rather than a sell icon, so I wonder if I can go ahead and sell those with the option. Thanks!

Media is often a gated category. Some you can sell and others depends on your account history and if you have legit invoices from distributors. Try them out and see if it works!

Anyone having success on ebay too. amazon my sales are picking up, audio books sell like wow. the teaching of which books to look for that university is awesome and rocks. I believe that for Amazon MF you must include an invoice (there's a button next to the buy shipping button). Didn't hear you mention that.

It's in the notes below the video. Many of the larger sellers don't include invoices so it's up to you if you'd like to do it. We normally include them because it's how we pick the orders.

Books are pretty durable! If you're pulling them out of gaylords where they're getting crushed by 800 lbs of other books, a somewhat rough journey through the US Mail system ain't gonna hurt it further! I know MF sellers who use bubble mailers on more expensive books though. The packing slips are supposed to be in there per Amazon's terms, but many of the mega sellers don't include them. Take that how you want :P

You can buy 4" x 6" thermal labels on Amazon. If you buy a case of them the price comes down to around a penny per label.

You need a pro seller account on Amazon to access any third party software (through MWS credentials). You'll save $0.99 per item sold whether it's MF or FBA, so it's money well spent not only to get the software access but also to save money on each sale.

Seller Central is free but you get what you pay for. Not very efficient for listing or tracking sources and/or buy costs. Software options include the Listing Spreadsheet, ScanLister, AccelerList, or InventoryLab.

You can either offer free shipping or charge a set amount ($3.99, for example) for shipping. Amazon takes fees out of the entire amount, so it's more so to change how it appears to the buyer. I'd recommend charging a few bucks for shipping so if a customer returns it because they changed their mind you don't have to reimburse the original shipping amount.

I just signed back up and Ive got pallets of media to go through. Is there a way I can access the app via the web on Mac to scan on my laptop instead of on the phone? I tried downloading the app via blue stacks when the app opens and I scan everything shows up on top of each other as its not optimized for it yet.
