I was weirded out by him needing to drag her away right after she brought the kid back to life because he was so turned on. It was so weird to me. I'm glad I found your reviews they perfectly sum up how I felt reading them.

I agree with just about everything! I like Kieran and I stayed for Kieran and that's it. Can we talk about how poppy is a Mary Sue and her flaws don't exist and it makes her unrelatable

I do understand that people have different thresholds and have different triggers, but holy shit, does the dynamic between Poppy and Cas give the shivers. Idk but there's something so predatory and yucky about the fact that this 300+ year old man is making moves on this 19 year old, super inexperienced and sheltered girl. He's constantly sexualizing her and being gross and inappropiate with her. There are times where Poppy is genuinely upset at him and all he does is smirk and chuckle. The weird power dynamic at play only make it worse, like when he's like turning everything sexual. gives me the vibes of that one disgusting teacher who can't lay off of you and acts like you're so grumpy. And I don't know why, but the feminism in this series feels hella misogynistic. don;t get me started on the racist connotations with the bonded wolven.

I almost ALMOST got caught in the hype for this series. Thank god I didn’t 😂 I read the first two books in the Lux series by her expecting trash, and got pleasantly surprised. Now it feels like the opposite is occurring 🙈 “Bootyhole to Buttchin” 😭😭😭

Just tried to read this book this past summer and I could notttt. Had to DNF it. I read about two pages, skipped ahead to when poppy was awake after getting shot, saw that poppy jumped on Cas once she was awake and just couldn’t take it anymore

I liked the first book but it's got progressively worse with each book and I can't bring myself to pick it up again. I'm a massive fan of her Covenant books as well (even though they are basically VA fanfiction 😂) so I'm disappointed to say the least with these books
