You and your Dad and the whole movement do inspire. A friend and I this past Christmas put up lights on houses of people who could no longer do their own. It was fun and lifted many spirits.

If you ever go to North Carolina, you should do a combined clean up with Kiah ( a young kid, with his father, doing yard and sidewalk clean ups. Rake it till we make it). Kiah really wants to have his own lawn care biz and his father drives him to these clean ups. It would be so cool with you helping him out.

I'm sure it is not a garden / fish story because I have over 15 variety of sunflower growing and a couple of them are mammoth and get huge heads on them in a variety of colors. When my brother passed away, I made 100s of packets of wildflower seeds for forget-me-nots for everyone in attendance to sprinkle the seeds everywhere they went (that it was legal of course) in honor of my brother's love for the wild nature and outdoors. And then others in attendance later in life used that same opportunity of the loss of a loved one and gave packets of flowers seeds to spread as much love and memories as possible. I love that somebody decided to share their seeds with you I thought often of you doing seed spreading around these abandoned homes and yards so when it did grow back because nobody was maintaining it long-term, that at least the neighbors would get to see beautiful flowers. Plus all the pollinators in the area would have more to eat and help the vegetation everywhere in the neighborhood.

What a beautiful idea 😢❤ I'd cry if I ever found a spot left for my loved ones. Has anyone ever sent you before/after pics?
@hollytaylor679911 күн бұрын
@BarbaraThorndyke Thank you Barbara yes, I have received pictures from people and I've had texts explaining where they left seeds and if I was in the area I should drive by and see how well they're doing which of course I did just that. I don't live in the area where my brother passed anymore but I often drive to the places he frequented. Many people knew his favorite places and deliberately went there planting seeds. So there's actually many places that are flourishing because more than one person would go and plant seeds in those areas, including in front or around some of his favorite restaurants. I've even gotten pictures of "Michael's Flowers" in around people's homes and yards. It seemed to be more healing than any of us thought it would be. So we did the same thing for my mother when she passed!

Geez, I can't imagine weeds looking like that, well, until now that is! It's a good thing you saw the wire before your mower ate it. Love hearing that KABLAM when those trees came down! Great job Kevin. I try not to judge people because you never know what happened or where they came from to make them turn to drugs, living on the street, etc. I'm sure none of them ever woke up one morning and said, "I think I'll try living on the street today".
