You have accomplished a lot and worked hard. You remind me so much of my husband who also works hard. When he starts something he puts his all into it and has accomplished a great deal. If he has never done something before it doesn't matter. He will sit down and figure out how to do it. And he does a great job! Just good enough has never been in his vocabulary. You should have a fantastic garden. One of the best things is seeing you work together on projects. We always did that when we could. After the garden there will be a lot of food preparation for winter. You are going to stay busy! Would love to see Frankie and Tildy. They are so special! You have a great attitude and drive, I'm not sure how old you are but at 63 I can't seem to slow down either... Since last fall I've built a chicken coop and run, barbwire fenced in 2 acres for my dogs, then another fence and stable for a calf heffer and a bull, insulated my entire 32x24 shop... Built a pig house and pen and just finished fencing in a 9 bed garden with a garden house that really turned out beautiful. I see all of what you've done and think, you know we're a dying breed. What you said about dreaming and having, before you finished I said out loud is doing! Oh yeah we're definitely a dying breed.

I'm happy for you guys. One year and the work accomplished was at an epic level. Goes to show, when it's a passion you're chasing, little to no bureaucracy stands in your way and the environment has little to no man made distractions you can accomplish your dreams. On top of it, you provided the world a birds eye view via KZbin. Well worth the watch. Out of all your accomplishments ( and the Ms; her efforts made a difference I'm sure ) I do believe the cherry on top and closes to your heart is the greenhouse. JC, you and Lori (sp?) = dynamic duo of healthful homesteading 👍💪. Tonight, I watched this inspiring episode twice, while sketching ideas from your greenhouse and screened porch designs. In northeast KS, our beds of tulips and daffodils bloomed magnificently in the first week of April. Then, two deep freeze nights, plus, one quick heavy snowfall just before Easter, finished them off. Oh, well. For 28 years we enjoyed blooms lasting for several weeks each Spring.

I watched you post each of those accomplishments, and even though it seemed like a lot at the time, this video drove home just how much you accomplished in one year. WOW! You put beavers to shame. Can’t use the busy as beavers adage, because you’re busier than beavers. Spring has been very very slow to get going this year in New England. Lots of rain and gray overcast days hanging around in the 40s, upper 30s. Today is sunny and 61 degrees. Tomorrow will be even warmer but not as sunny. Your green house is looking very green. 😊🌱🌿🌼🌱

Boss, that’s a great design you came up with for the greenhouse. That truly is a winter oasis. I’ve been wanting a greenhouse for many years now. It will happen with my next property. It’s not possible to do in my yard now. I do have two covered garden beds I built and they’re beautiful. They definitely do the job for the time being. I know you would admire their quality. Hi JC I wanted to suggest growing some of dwarfing tomatos that can be grown in hanging baskets. There are quite a few varieties and they produce full size cherry tomatoes. Wow! Seen altogether you have had a crazy busy year! As ever you have inspired me. I fond an old dinghy abandoned and half sunk. Now it full of my container garden and I have MY plan to increase size by making a pontoon boat to tow behind. At 4mph limit we live life in the slow lane...literally! Waiting for Lockdown to end over here so I can get to work! Need the money not only for the materials but the license once it's built! I uploaded a small video of it. I call it "Boatsteading" 😀! We have the opposite problem you have but a similar solution. We have too much sun/heat. The wife made a below ground covered bed to keep things cooler.
