The Evvr In-Wall Smart Relay Switch is similar to a traditional smart switch, but it allows you to use your existing light switch that many prefer the look and feel of. A bonus is that no neutral wire is required, which is especially helpful for those living in homes with older wiring. I installed this with a single pole light, but this will also work with 3 and 4 way switches. It can control other devices as well, such as turning on a ceiling fan and apparently according to Evvr, ventilation systems, blind motors and smart locks that are connected to power.

I have a four-way switch for my Kitchen ceiling lights. The ceiling lights are three separate fixtures using two direct wired LED bulbs in each fixture for a total of 6 bulbs. One of my requirements for WAF is that the manual switches MUST work to turn the lights on and off regardless of the status of my WiFi or a hub. Right now I have all of my lights and exhaust fans switched over to Lutron Caseta switches, including all of my three-way switches, except for this 4-way circuit. I am not using any Pico remotes. I even have a Lutron Dimmer on a 3-way switch with a Claro manual switch for the other switch for the ceiling fan lights in my Den. My house has Neutrals running to each box, so that is not an issue. I really would like to have the Kitchen ceiling lights (4-way) on Lutron Caseta and I have heard that there is a way to do this without using Pico remotes, but I cannot find the wiring diagrams to accomplish this. I am wondering if this relay switch will work for my needs. Questions: I saw the delay to turn on in your video which leads me to believe that it is the relays talking to each other that actually turns the lights on and off; is that correct? If I have a 4-way circuit, do I only need one relay behind one of the switches? Where can I find the wiring diagrams for a four-way setup for these switches? I am assuming that since I have three light fixtures, I would need three of these to control these lights, correct? Will this relay always work manually from the wall switch regardless of the status of the WiFi?

Hi Brad, is there any documentation wrt using these EVVR relays in a two way switch configuration? I would like to wire a light in the middle of a stairwell with controls to turn on and turn off the light via an upper level and a lower level switch. But, I could not find any documentation from EVVR wrt the wiring for two way switching configuration. Thanks,Chris

I don’t have neutral wires here and tried the Lutron Caseta which works great but a major drawback for me is that it doesn’t remember the last dim setting when you turn the lights off and then on. Anyone knows of a dimmer switch that doesn’t need neutral wire and can remember the last dim setting???

@@jameelcampbe Just saw there is a meross dimmer switch on their website. Most of the stuff they sell is in the US. It's not even listed in the UK amazon store :( I'll see if I can find it anywhere else. Lutron and lightwave are my only options. Lutron just doesn't look intuitive to use at first glance. When guest's come around they'll spend a good minute to figure it out lol
