It all comes down to Rhea being able to either work around Ghetis' Pokémon and attack him directly or being able to defeat them outright. Pokémon are seriously monstruous beasts though, and Rhea's been overwhelmed by numerous foes before.

Her dragon form can be worn out, but I wonder if she'd be allowed to fight with armour and the Sword of the Creator (Which yes, I know becomes more of Byleth's weapon than hers) like the Nemesis fight in the opening of 3H. I could see her taking on Ghetsis' team in normal form with the sword before breaking out the dragon form toward the end of the fight.

That's a very big if. With the amount of options pokemon have, a small team is more like a compacted army, and attacking the trainer wouldn't be very effective considering that poke-humans are nearly indestructible and the pokemon would most certainly get in the way. Its one individual against 6 highly adaptive and versatile magical creatures lead by a really good commander.

Hi! Saw it in a random comment section and looked further into it. I mainly chose it for the music potential to be honest, but the matchup it self has stuff going for it too! Too bad people haven't realized yet that FE3H has lower stats than most other FE games, so Rhea gets lolblitzed by Hydreigon, but the interaction potential and writing setups are still worth it, at least to me!

Its really cool how this one has a more intense techno vibe fitting in with the Shambala theme and Plasma's battle music when Fire Emblem and Ghetsis's own theme usually demands a choir. Also if Rhea isnt limited to dragon form and can use her human form, the Seiros shield and Sword of the creator like she does in the cutscene at the beginning and in a certain boss fight in Crimson Flower and is able to save her dragon form for Kyurem, I could see her pulling this out. If shes limited to being a dragon I could see her getting overtaxed. Although Kyurem would have to scale to the javelins of light to be able to take down dragon rhea which i think it could but not sure.

I don't think they'd give him Kyurem. His Busted Ass Hydreigon makes it enough of a Stomp already what with the fact that the way his Heidreigon is set up with it's specific moves and stats is implied to have been prepped to take out N's Zekrom/Reshiram (depending on which game it is), which is enough to put down just about any FE Character I can think of since I don't recall their being any Planet Level Characters from the series. If there are, then my bad.

If they did this fight I think it would be cool to have Rhea start off fighting off Ghetsis' team with full armour and the Sword of the Creator like the Nemesis fight in the begining of 3H, but as Ghetsis uses loses more of his Pokemon he brings out Kyurem, and then she brings out the Dragon form for the end. Or maybe instead of a traditional fight Rhea acts a commander of her 6 best allies (Seteth, Catherine, Shamir etc) who each take on a member of Ghetsis' team individually, since her main role is a leader.

Why are some people treating Ghetsis from black and white and black 2 and white 2 differently? They are both the same person. Black 2 and white 2 is the sequel to black and white and the Ghetsis in both of these games are the same guy. He can have his team from both games since they are both the same. Treating them differently is like treating Naruto from season 1 and season 2 differently.

It's because the two games see Ghetsis in two mental states, and the music reflects that. In the first game, he's deranged but he arguably has all of his ducks in a row mentally, and you hear that in the music. There's a looming madness but it's a slow burn behind a controlled will. In the second game, that all gets thrown out of the window and he's just straight up lost the plot and his intentions become more destructive. In the second game you can hear this in the music, it's all over the place and is more intense. It's as if they're two different people.

Though between the legends for Nemesis(cutting a mountain in half, wiping out armies in one swing) and the Pokédex there are probably a lot of super questionable and sketchy feats they could end up using.

Three Houses utilizes the unreliable narrator a lot. And I would never take solely the Pokédex as fact for abilities. Hell I wouldn’t even take most in game animations as fact. For Rhea, I would only take into account what we see she is capable of directly. And for Pokémon, I would get most facts from the anime over the games.

Idk anything about Fire Emblem, but if Ghetsis gets Kyreum/Kyruem Black-White then they're gonna have a tough time, considering one of it's signature moves, glaciate is able to freeze air itself around an opponent.

So apparently Hydreigon is much more powerful than Rhea, (stop here for spoilers) However with Rhea being a Manakete she has the advantage of having a human mind and a Dragons strength, giving her the best of both worlds. Having experience in war and leading armies would likely lead to her being a better strategist. She would likely take out the one giving the orders (Ghetsis) leaving Hydreigon confused and unfocused, making him easy to take out.

He's only slightly more powerful (which is actually debatable because of current revisions arguing whether FE3H is City or Multi-Cont, but there is more evidence for the former at the moment), the real problem is the fact that Hydreigon is much, MUCH faster. If that weren't the case, your logic would probably be solid

Not to mention Hydreigon being a pokemon have human level intelligence anyway, so his pokemon wouldn't be hampered to such a degree. That and Ghetsis is a poke-human. Killing one is a tall task.

I kinda blame Death Battle for making it seem that Pokémon literally can't do anything without a trainer but there have been many times in the games/manga/anime of Pokémon doing things without their trainer. I mean they do bank on their trainer for the battle strategies and plans but they can act on their own, especially if their trainer is in danger. Though it is heavily implied that Ghestsis's Hydregion hates him with a passion so I don't think he'd care if Ghestsis is in danger or go out of his way to protect him.

@@krislee3155 that misconception existed way before death battle unfortunately. Perpetuated by either those who hate the series or those who couldn't be bothered to look at it and the misconception stims from the assumption that pokemon are just animals even though they are clearly more, and a complete failure to apply simple logic and distinguish game mechanics from actuality. The trainer never tells the pokemon how to fight and pokemon by nature and virtue of how their confrontations work are battle savy. In battle the relationship between a trainer and their pokemon is more akin to that of a commander and his troops.

Some things might be (I wouldn't give Cyrus access to Darkrai in a normal fight because he only has that in Masters and the TCG rather than the main series) but Ghetsis achieves this in the same continuity.

I think Ghetsis takes this. Rhea would need to go through ghetsis's team, she is powerful but hydreigon can regularly take on tyranitar which is mountain level on a low on- not to mention being able to contend with actual legandaries. And that's only ONE pokemon. Rhea simply doesn't have the speed or power to get through the pokemon defense.

Hmm? interesting but I had two other ideas for foes Rhea could go up against, Palutena from Kid Icarus or Princess Celestia from my little pony. (And yes I’m a brony sue me) anyways, I chose those two because personally enjoy the fights between characters who are similar, opposite, from a rival or sister’s franchise etc. however I mostly leaning towards my latter choice for the simple reason of a Immaculate One versus Daybreaker fight sounds totally awesome, you even might say it’s 20% cooler if you don’t get it what I’m saying that’s your loss.
