Serving Royalty (Bowsette vs Tohru) [Super Mario vs Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid]

Really felt like some J-Rock fit these two best - with Bowsette being basically a waifu version of Bowser and all. I snuck in some Bowser's Fury, but didn't want to make the song too intense because I didn't feel like it captured the way people feel about Bowsette, especially in contrast to Tohru.

It should’ve been a simple task. Peach and Mario plan a trip to Japan? Bowser comes in and crashes it, with minions kidnapping Peach and bringing her to him for a nice speedy wedding in foreign lands, with Mario’s cooked rump for dessert! And sure enough, the Koopa King’s minions delivered! There in front of Bowser was a squirming bag, with Peach inside! Just waiting to be opened! It was such a simple task! “Come to big bad Bowser, Peaches- WHAT?!” But once Bowser opened the bag, it turned out the simple task had been royally screwed up. Instead of his gorgeous blond princess, there was some disheveled redhead in a suit and glasses, a bottle of alcohol in her hands and a hazy look in her eyes indicating that she had gotten drunk. The woman inside the bag looked up at Bowser, equally confused as he was. “…hey. Ain’t you the guy who had an amiibo up his-?” Bowser shut the bag and turned to his minions with a scowl. “What happened here, guys?! I told you to bring me the prettiest woman of all! This girl looks nothing like Peach!” All the heads in the crowd of Goombas and Koopas turned towards a lone Shy Guy. The one who had set up the whole kidnapping in the first place “…Well, I mean, she looked like the prettiest woman of all to me.” Bowser facepalmed, dragging his claw against his face. “Whatever! There’s still enough time in the day to capture Peach and marry her! We’ll just drop this schmoe off in some river and be done with her-!” CRRRCKK!!! That was as far as Bowser got in his speech before he was abruptly taken away by some creature, its big strong limbs trying to crush the turtle monster in its grasp. The creature in question was a big green dragon with raging yellow eyes, its size far trumping Bowser’s… in his current state, at least. Its breath glistened with embers, and a feminine voice echoed as its maws as it gave out a roar. “KEEP YOUR FILTHY CLAWS OFF OF MISS KOBAYASHI-!!!!” BAM! A truly inspiring speech… that was interrupted when the dragon ungracefully crashed right into one of Bowser’s airships, causing the entire thing to explode and send out all of the items it was carrying from the plumes of smoke… including a certain crown with eyes that flew alongside the dazed Bowser. Meanwhile, Tohru came bounding out of the explosion in a dizzied state as well, and also in her human form. Seemed as if taking a hit like that had caused her to revert back to her human disguise that she had grown so accustomed to. No matter. She could still beat the snot out of anyone she needed to in this form. As Tohru landed, she quickly dusted off her favorite maid costume and looked back out to the fog of dust where Miss Kobayashi’s assailant had landed. “Hey! Tubby! I don’t know what you and your goons were trying to do with Miss Kobayahsi, but whatever you were doing, you’re going pay dearly for it!” “TUBBY!? I’ll show you what ‘tubby’ is going to do to you when I deep fry you-!” The voice of Bowser barked back… and then stopped. Both of them were shocked at what they heard. He sounded much different from before… As the smoke cleared, the reason for Bowser’s vocal change revealed itself… and it was much more than a vocal change too. The crown with eyes laid upon his head, and the few strands of red locks he bore had changed into flowing golden ones. He was adorned in a black dress, and his green spiked shell had been reduced to more of a backpack… minus the straps yet somehow still clinging to his back. And most glaringly, he was much more human-looking… and weirdly enough, also a girl too. “Huh… not what I’m used to.” The being that was once Bowser grumbled out… before a smile full of sharp teeth revealed itself. “…but I ROCK it! The king of awesome rocks anything-!” “You… you homewrecker!” Tohru screeched in an accusatory manner. “First you lay hands on Miss Kobayashi, and now you transformed into a girl too?!?! You think she’s gonna be impressed?! You’re thinking wrong, you dumb blonde!” Bowser, or more rather Bowsette, huffed. He had more than enough of this schnook getting in on his plots and evil deeds. “Look, Green Tail. The only thing I’m interested in wrecking is the faces of schmucks like you!” The Koopa growled, her hands sparkling with dark magical electricity. “The wedding with Peach and pounding of Mario can wait! Right now, you’re getting a heaping helping of BOWSER!” Tohru growled, her eyes glowing red and her white gloves clenching with inhuman strength. “Miss Kobayashi… Kanna… everyone… as long as I live, *you won’t ever hurt them!”*

It is just Bowser with the Super Crown, meaning that Bowser can glide now and use all of his other abilities too. Plus, the crown pushes him out of danger like holes, lava, and poison and lets him release a burst of wind and stars to float longer.

Aside from the "royal dragon waifu" connection, the arguably best opponent for Tohru is Sebastian Michaelis from Black Butler. Allow me to explain. 1) Both have made contracts with humans out necessity. Tohru did so as repayment for Miss Kobayashi saving her life & Sebastian did so with Ciel when Ciel's own life was in danger. 2) Both serve as a typical servant (maid & butler respectively), but each made trouble when doing the job for the first time. 3) Both often come into conflict with members of the own kind (dragons & demons) on more than one occasion. *I'm sure there's more connections but these were the ones that popped into my head.

@ Physically, Bowser can scale above Yoshi who is multi-star level. He also fought Culex who was able to eat the time and space from the Mario universe which can be interpreted as a multiverse because of Mario Galaxy. He’s well into anywhere between star and multiversal in both power and durability. I’m pretty sure Bowser can dodge light beams in Mario RPG and can scale to characters that can outrun black holes as seen in Mario Party but that’s still slower than Tohru’s interdimensional speed feat. It doesn’t matter given the huge stat difference but it’s something. He has a huge durability advantage over Tohru as I’ve stated before but he also has numerous healing items and he can just hide in his shell which can deflect projectiles with ease. Oh dear god where do I even begin with Bowser’s abilities? - Transmutation - Interdimensional teleportation - Bombs that inflict mute which makes the afflicted unable to use magic - Numerous types of long ranged abilities ranging from magic blasts, fireballs, dark-energy balls, fire streams, fire beams, hammers, bones, and much more - The ability to continue fighting despite being reduced to bones - Numerous transformations like Dreamy Bowser who can make his wishes come true, Fury Bower that can spew out dangerous black tar or something, Wonder Bowser that can warp reality and many more - Size manipulation - Numerous items, armors, and accessories that give him various effects like immunity to elemental damage, healing, revives, more durability, sleep inducement, and many more All of this and I’m not even scratching the surface of what Bowser can do. The guy has a sh*t ton of abilities.

Fans..... poor Bowsy.... xD This is an easy battle sadly. But a cute looking one anyway. The fans underetimated the outright limits the Peach Crown has. Even WITH the tranformative properties. As it always turned Toadette into Peach, altering even how fast she moves in the air, etc. Like she became a completely new character, Peach, when picking it up. Bowser would be shocked. Surprised. Kinda flattered. He'd like it. But..... his fire would be gone. His magic would need items. He'd have all of the powers of Princess Peach, who is admittedly no slouch. But Tohru was a REAL dragon once as well. Her powers still remained. And could even morph right back into her dragon form in a pinch. The fans killed poor Bowser Koopa here, but I like the idea anyhow. xD

He wouldn’t lose his abilities though? It’s not like Mario loses his abilities when he picks up a power up. All the Super Crown does is make Toadette look like Peach and let her glide. There’s even more evidence of Bowser still retaining his abilities since he’s shown he keeps his powers whenever he transforms whether that be through Power Ups or other means. He completely stomps Tohru. Not like he even needs his natural abilities since he still stomps Tohru in power and durability and he has access to items like the Wonder Flower and the Dream Stone which completely stomp Tohru in every conceivable way. She loses horribly here.

I could consider your additions to give Bowsette an edge. Just not mixing powerups. The Peach Crown cannot be swapped for Wonder Powers. Or Metal Vanish Wing Aura. But what Bowsette COULD do is add his fiery flair to Peach's already sizable repertoire of abilities. Like Flaming turnips. Or a special hammer of Bowsette's design, etc.

@ Bowser can change sizes at will so the crown shrinking his regular size wouldn’t be that much of an issue. Also, the Wonder Flower is the only “Power Up” that doesn’t technically change the user through natural means, as it warps reality and it removing the Power Ups you had when you activate them is more likely a game mechanic so that the creators didn’t have to make something like a drill animation for every transformation. Hell, I’m pretty sure there are Wonder Effects that transform the user and let them keep their Power Up so Wonder Castle Bowsette isn’t really that far fetched. Also, Peach doesn’t naturally have the ability to pop turnips out of ground. She has her emotion powers and her RPG powers, along with some other abilities like telekinesis, but turnips are a Smash Bros exclusive ability. Not like it matters since the Super Crown only lets Bowsette glide and let loose a burst of air and stars to continue gliding. Like the Super Acorn.

@ It’s just Bowser. Bowsette doesn’t get any stronger or weaker than Bowser since they’re identical and the Super Crown only makes him look like Peach and gives him the ability to glide. All they have to do is carry over any information Bowser has to Bowsette, include the Super Crown, and bam. Bowsette analysis. It’s boring but that’s just because Bowsette, when you really get down to it, is kinda boring.
