Stuck Main Tuning Slide On A Newer Yamaha Trumpet

There is an easy fix for some tuning slides on Yamaha student model trumpets and some other brands of student model trumpets. This technique only works on some trumpets if the slides are not very stuck.
If this does not work on your trumpet, I have other videos for slides that are more stuck than this.

I got the main tuning slide out and oiled the slide but now it wont go all the way back in. Help?

So how do we clean the tuning slide after pulling it? I don't suppose a little warm water is enough to remove lime deposits.

At my shop, I use phosphoric acid. If you do not have that, you can use vinegar. Soak it for about 10 minutes and clean the inside with a brush. Then keep repeating that until it is clean.
