Thanks for your videos. You're the professional, but I wondered if you've ever used a small polishing/buffing wheel on a Dremel tool for those hard to-get-to spots?

Wow, Art, the herald trumpet turned out amazing!! This was an enjoyable series to watch, especially when you remember how sad that bell section looked before you worked your magic.

Hey there! I love what you are doing with this series! Great stuff. I have a question. What is that wicking material, and where can it be purchased? Thanks!
@TheBrassandWoodwindShop

The wicking comes from Allied Supply. The part number is A890. However, Allied only sells to music stores.

What a great video! So informative and I'm glad music can play through the trumpet again. What brand of lacquer do you use?

The spray can looks like Nikolas, sold by Ferree's : www.ferreestoolsinc.com/collections/supplies/products/q1-nikolas-clear (Sadly it's not sold in Europe and Ferree's can't ship chemicals overseas so when I needed touch lacquer once on an amateur project I used a clear nitrocellulosic lacquer, it have been 2 years and it still holds).

What sort of lacquer did you use? Just one coat? No rubout of the lacquer needed?
@TheBrassandWoodwindShop
@TheBrassandWoodwindShop 4 жыл бұрын
I used 2 coats of the Nikolas spray lacquer. It works well for touching up, but you would not want to use it on a whole instrument. No rubout is needed.
