Have you noticed the new chamberlain chain drives come with a full chain no cable now?

The D2101 is full chain but I thought all the others were still chain/cable

@@TBHD724 idk I seen that unit before with the chain/cable but I’ve got a D2101 in the garage prepped for a customer install tomorrow with an 8ft extension with a more or less full chain, I noticed that in the extension kit instead of a full 8ft chain it’s just enough chain to extend the included 7ft chain

These are pure garbage and all of the commercial guys are switching to other brands. The only DC commercial units I've been impressed with have been the Marantec commercial units and they have a full metal gearbox. Installed one to replace a dying Logic 5.0 on a 14 X 14 commercial WD Windload steel back door with 4' of high lift and it ran it like butter. I was hopeful LM would overbuild these units since they hyped up the development in the launch so much etc but they seem to be just as shitty as the new resi machines.

I didn't think I'd like these when they announced them, and boi was i right lol. We still have a bunch of L5 openers in stock thankfully but once we run out we're switching to Manaras. We have some Maxums in stock but I don't think a single one has moved in 3 months. We do DC Marantecs sometimes and they don't give us hardly any issues
