Logan took a couple of big shots from KSI, which caused him to be timid and more elusive in the second fight. In the rematch, Logan decided to avoid getting hit rather than take one and counter whenever KSI entered. You WILL get hit, but I think Logan thought that was optional and not inevitable.

If we go by boxing rules then a draw does seem the most appropriate, but if we were going by who won it, in terms of who did the most damage and if it went on longer who would win by knockout, it was KSI. And I feel like in the court of public opinion at the time that's how it felt, espcially as most people who watched it weren't huge boxing fans, so didn't know how you you judged boxing. So what they saw was KSI do more damage and if it went on longer KSI would again do more damage, so therefore KSI wins.

I think in the first fight and even his other fights Logan is more afraid of being Knocked out and knocking someone else out as much as he loves to pretend to be this big tough guy he doesn't have that killer instinct to knock some one out. Which is why I have always said Logan is the better wrestler and Jake is the better fighter.

Basically, if you thought KSI won, you thought he won rounds 3,4,5 and 6, or 3,4, and a 10-8 in round 6. If you thought Logan won, you thought he won rounds 12, 5 and MAYBE round 3 or 4. This fight was definitely more entertaining for me than the second one; more action, more punches thrown and landed (logan wasn't hesitant), and the showboating. Watching KSI go from being dominated in the first two rounds to nearly stopping Logan in the sixth is some of the most anime sh*t I've witnessed live. This should be the standard for all big name YT boxing fights.

what makes this the benchmark example of KZbin boxing. If Logan stepped it up in the earlier rounds and showboated less, then it would've been a steeper climb for JJ to regain momentum. If there was one more round after the 6th, it would probably take KSI around a minute for him to stop and possibly drop Logan.

JJ IS a dirty fighter. I get Sensei wants to say that's just him doing what he can to make things work, and he's just fighting, but by boxing standards he is a dirty fighter. He's not clean, he's not crisp, his technique is unorthodox. His shots loop so much that if his opponent moves forward he's always hitting the back of the head. JJ is a dirty fighter, but he's not a maliciously dirty fighter, which I think is what people think of when they hear 'dirty'. He's not a Salido or a Margarito, but he's not a clean boxer either.

What's really crazy to me is if this fight was in 10oz gloves and no head gear, I think Logan probably would have won this fight. Then to take it a step further since I'm doing hypotheticals.. What if Logan had won 1 fight before this? Yes he's stronger and had more reach than KSI, but 1 person had experience getting hit in the ring, and the other person didn't. So I kinda hate hearing people say Logan should have won in a sense like as if KSI was scored higher because he was thought to lose.. but that's kind of whack if you ask me. It wasn't like Logan vs Mayweather were Logan got the benefit of the doubt because he was against a world class boxer possibly the best of the best. KSI Vs Logan was a way closer match in terms of skill, but KSI had experience.. so to me if anything Logan should have won by split decision. Especially since I don't think KSI really did damage in the later rounds as much as Logan was simply fatigue which made the shots landing on him look worse than they were. Also correct me if I'm wrong, but KSI would have been deducted a point(assuming he got a warning after the first attempt) for the second attempt at throwing Logan if it was a Pro Bout like their second fight right? Once again this is a hypothetical, and I'm a fan of both of them. Just giving my honest perception of what could have been.
