I have my emergency fund in a HYSA and CD’s. It’s about 50/50 split. My sinking funds are in a savings account. These 3 accounts total about 8 months of salary.

Hi Marissa! Great video. Another option aside from HYSA and a retirement vehicle, would be just a standard brokerage account. As long as the stocks you sell have sat for over a year, you're looking at 15% on taxes, vs. 20% in a Roth tax penalty situation. CIT is still sitting pretty high with APY. I may have to move some of my Capital One holdings over there. As Capital one has dropped .35% since September! Hope you and the family are enjoying your December!

as long as you only pull out what you contributed to the Roth you wouldn't have the tax penalty

I implemented a detailed budgeting strategy, tracking every expense and setting clear spending limits across all categories. In just six months, I saved over $43,000, giving me a strong sense of financial security and the ability to invest in my future. This approach has transformed the way I manage money, and I now feel more confident than ever about achieving my long-term goals.

that’s incredible! What’s the secret behind this strategy? How did you manage to save up so much so quickly?

Thanks! The strategy was all thanks to Lorrie Greta Hillard, a brilliant financial advisor. She helped me create a personalized budgeting plan, track my expenses, and prioritize savings effectively. Her expertise made all the difference in reaching my financial goals!

Dear Marissa, I know that it’s super normal that movie scenes do shock people to tears but I know that the scene from Wicked shocked you extra deeply since you were still really sad several days after watching it. Out of kindness I just want to double check you are having a better day now:) I hope you have a wonderful day :)
