I tried not trimming it previously but it gets annoying having to wipe off cappuccino, beer, soup, sauces, or snot :D So now I just keep it short 1 cm. It works if you have a faded shorter beard, sort of. Long (I had it all the way to the handlebar, similar to yours but less thick) made me usually look way too old and like a homeless. But it's true that it helps fill in the beard if you have patchy spots, and it does look more "complete". I even tried using wax, cream or other products to keep it to the side but it gets annoying and sticky.
@jeffreybuoncristiano6 ай бұрын
annoying? Sounds like a woman's problem! haha jk. or am I? really though, you get used to it. it's not really annoying. it's like hair touching your ears, once it's normal, you just treat it as normal. I'm not messign around its totally fine after a little while !

Last year I cut off my 6 month beard. Had to for Moh's surgery on my face. Didn't cut my stache though and haven't trimmed it in 4 months. My beard is at 2 months, can't wait for it to get on out there with this stache. I haven't trimmed it after watching one of your previous vids. Thanks.

My favorite part of growing a longer beard was growing a long mustache. I love how it feels. I was inspired by you and Eric. After growing for 9 months I trimmed beard and stache down very short, and am now bored with it, so am starting to grow it all out again. Can't wait to cover that hole in the middle of my face!

I totally agree. Made the mistake twice and had regrets afterwards. My thick and full beard needs a big moustache as well. No problem with the handlebars, but training the stubborn moustache hairs in the middel is a challenge. Do you use any products? Wax or heat works only a couple of hours.

I did that, but my moustache didn´t stop growing, so I trimmed it down once it got to half my chin lol. Also my beard is slightly curlier than yours, the long moustache did look great after the shower, hair dryer an oil; but later during the day it got all messed up. Now I just trim it, still covers my upper lip, so it´s ok.

I’m 3 months in and just trimmed my mustache today I’m going to let grow and not touch it. I notice the hair softens the longer it gets. So maybe that’ll fix the prickly feeling.

Hey man. I’ve recently been watching your videos and I really enjoy them! I have a question: I am almost turning 25 and I have a patchy beard that’s not connected to my moustache. Do you think it will fill out and grow faster as soon as I turn 25 or after? Great video as always. Take care man!
@jeffreybuoncristiano5 ай бұрын
yes. it's likely to get fuller over time. but don't neglect the big picture here, working out, eating healthy and GROWING AS APERSON (physically) will increase testosterone as you grow, and this will also be a major contributor to your facial hair.

Hey Jeff! Great topic, this is hard stuff really, I go to the barbers every 6 weeks, and I always get a little mustache trim just above the lips maybe even touching the lip still, with scissors only,after a cut 3 weeks I lways want to try to not cut it next time, but when the time comes it becames long enough to chew on it or if I train and sweat then goes in to mouth My question is that if I trim it the way it would be when brushed/waxed to the side, and the barber keeps the mass isnt that almost the same thing look wise, just maybe more comftable
@jeffreybuoncristiano3 ай бұрын
i'd be hesitant to say trim it even that way. but I don't know. your growth. so worth a shot. but I would try NOT trimming it first.

this IS that video sir. how to style? don't cut it. how to make it look good? don't trim it. what's your daily routine? i brush it.
@johnstefanik41162 ай бұрын
@@jeffreybuoncristianoI blow dry it with low heat and use a curl brush to get it to go to the sides. But eating, kissing and drinking has been challenging. I’m constantly eating hair lol. I haven’t trimmed it in over three months. It super long. If I combed it straight down, the hairs go past my bottom lip. So you’re saying you don’t trim any parts of the mustache. The hairs under your nose seem shorter, like they seek to stop at the bottom of your top lip. Mine go down past the bottom lip. I’m at a loss. I’ve always had it trimmed to my lip line, but what you showed in the video it does look weird I totally agree.
@jeffreybuoncristiano2 ай бұрын
@@johnstefanik4116 my mustache hairs reach to my bottom lip as well. i don't have those prroblems becasue of a couple reasons. 1. I brush downwards but I also then brush outwards towards the ears after. then it finds a nice place to sit above the lipand is still full. 2. I don't eat my mustache that much because I eat with my pointer fingers pushing back the hair See this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6DJaICDdqdsndE

Although I'd worn a neat, trimmed beard for most of the last few decades, it wasn't until 2017 that I decided to do the big beard. Here I am six years later with my big, now very gray beard; and I'm having fun with it. In my case I learned quickly that there was not going to be a luscious mustache which flowed gracefully outward. Neither balm, wax, superglue, cement or threat of violence would get my mustache to behave. It grows down and slightly in, and that's the end of it. So I keep it long, so it's just down and over the bottom lip, and it works. I've a nice full mustache to compliment a very full beard. Beverages are interesting, and my local city issued an ordnance which prohibits my eating ice cream in public (as it scares the children), but I've no worries.
