Barry Grant was what made Brookside so great. For those of you that haven’t seen it I recommend watching ‘The Lost Weekend’. I bought the VHS in the 90s but I’m sure it can be bought relatively cheaply on Amazon.

Anyone know what episode the one is where Barry Grant threatens the arcarde owner to hand over her arcarde buisness or he would get him/her killed. Think the episode was around 87/88ish when gangster Sizzler was in it

the Scottish actor gerard kelly did very well few years before in eastenders & also had very successful stage & tv career in Scotland. brookside the lostweekend was one of the best episodes they ever did --- exclusive to vhs video it filled in the gap between Friday's episode ( the final episode of the special week long episodes) and start of episodes days later . Paul usher was really good as copper des taviner in itv cop series " the bill " , Paul was in that show from 2001 ---2003 ?.
