Nobody said we won’t pay higher wages but it is earned not given. The example of palmer is stupid, he is the perfect example of someone who deserves the higher wage. Regarding Olise it is very possible that we had an idea of salary demands based on last year but that Bayern who not only are a massive club and who have champions league, also are likely to pay higher salary came in and offered more. Once that contract offer has been placed in front of olise his demands to us are likely to increase also thereby pushing us out of what we can or wanted to offer, so rejected or we walked away pretty much amount to the same thing. Two things can be true and it doesn’t always have to be this extreme narrative. Matisse is a clown and one of the most full of shit content creators for Chelsea.
