Maybe so. Last year’s exact same format is one of our highest view videos ever, and still gets a lot of views, so I’d argue more people enjoy it than give negative feedback by far, but we’ll see how this one does. On Instagram we grew from 600 followers to 44k and counting using that AI voice only, in a few months. So the businessman in me understands the sentiment, but it would be foolish of us to not explore it further. So, for every 5 or 6 negative comments, we see hundreds of thousands of views and good engagement. Not sure what else I can say at this point. More testing needed, but if it bothers folks that much, my advice is just don’t watch. 🤔

One other thing I’ll concede to though is for our audience on KZbin, using that voice is akin to serving Coca Cola and then switching to Pepsi without warning, so we can appreciate that we are delivering content our core audience did not come here for originally. But like many KZbinrs this year, our views tanked on our normal stuff, so this necessitated trying something new. But want to be clear, I hear you all who don’t like it and actually understand, so the feedback is always welcome regardless. Thought it might be helpful to expose more of our reasoning for doing it to keep things transparent. In short, we have seen signs of this working well on different platforms, so sometimes you just gotta give something a try. If it tanks, you’ll see less of it. And we have about 14 weeks of our normal content starting on the new year, so hang tight if you prefer that. There’s tons more coming!

@@CactusAtlas I can respect that. On my end, if this would’ve been the format from when I started watching your videos, I’d probably not even think about it. I guess I’m just used to your “regular” content 🤷🏻♂️. Either way, you do great work. Thank you!

Very excited for you. I look forward to when I can say the same. Been hard trying to do what we do and work full time jobs on top of it. Alas for me, I got a ways to go!! Best!

This is a good reminder to go do the Silverbell road again. It's suitable for a Juke! That's the criteria for my dirt road travels, after all. Hell's Backbone is high on my list of places to check out next year.

Nice! Off pavement drives don't always need to be rough or crazy. Sometimes it's just nice to be a little more immersed in nature and landscapes. That said, you can't beat Hell's Backbone. 👍

@@CactusAtlas So today I am gonna head out to those Sasco ruins. It's less than an hour from me and the weather is perfect. Your video was the perfect nudge to head out there.

Oh man, these are always so tough to rank. IMO, the Devil's Backbone ranks higher only because the view at the end is second to none. I can't wait for Part Deux; it has to be better than its Joker counterpart. 🤞

I hear you. I was almost surprised Glenn ranked it where he did but the drive there is a smidge lackluster so I get it.

A couple of those are previews of things to come in our 2025 content, but I actually filmed this year. Dunderburg Mill is another one like that too.

Glenn, Butler Maps has already solved this for you in that whole 4 corners region! Correction, gravel and dirt trails-- because you are still on a road, not off-road like a single track

This is merely Glenn's ranking of off-road trips from this year. A retrospective of sorts.
